Lissabon: Belem-Rundgang mit Jeronimos-Kloster inklusive

Visited the 4 major sites in Belem. Loius was very knowledgeable! He easily made adjustments in the schedule to avoid long lines.

Luis was our guide and he was exceptional. Kept us all together, didn’t feel rushed , answered any questions and was extremely knowledgeable. We enjoyed our tour and learned so much about the history of the Monastery and the importance of Belem to the history of Portugal and the explorers. We knew we would get to enjoy a pastry however we were pleasantly surprised to get to see how they are made as well. This is definitely a tour not to miss.

Spending the morning with Luis on this walking tour of Belem and the Jeronimos Monastery was amazing! His knowledge of the Monastery, was incredible and pointing out little things that one would normally miss and the meaning behind was very informative. We highly recommend Luis and this tour.

Absolutely fantastic experience with our guide Miguel. The group was small, only four people, and he set us immediately at ease with introductions and conversation, so it felt like traveling with a small group of friends. We started in Jeronimos Monastery, and spent a great deal of our time there. I couldn’t get enough of it - it is a visual feast, and Miguel was wonderful explaining the history and context of the architecture and sculpture as well as the symbolism of the works. I liked that we were able to jump the line and get right into the Monastery, and I really appreciated that the Monastery crowds are controlled well, so you have a lot of space to experience the surrounds as they were meant to be. We weren’t able to skip the line at the church, but the line moved quickly, and it was super cool to see the tomb of Vasco de Gama and the lovely cathedral. Again, the crowd size is very controlled so you can really enjoy what you are seeing. After that we had some delicious Pasteis de Nata and a walk to the Explorers Monument and Tower of Belem, which aren’t too far. These you just view from the outside, but they are both lovely, and again, Miguel did a great job explaining the history and context of each site. All in all it was a great tour, our guide was wonderful, and it was an excellent value for the price. Recommended.

I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an unforgettable and enriching experience! Our guide, Luis, was absolutely fantastic. His genuine passion for history really came through, and his incredible knowledge brought everything to life in an engaging way. Luis was professional, patient, attentive, and responsive to every question we had. He had great energy and made sure his guests had a great experience. Luis made the tour not only incredibly informative, but also genuinely enjoyable from start to finish. He was outstanding, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. (We took the 9:45am tour on Saturday, September 12th. I just want to make sure I have the right name, as I am really bad with names!!)

The guided tour is worth it. Miguel was very knowledgeable and helpful after the tour. I would be grateful if Miguel was on my side for other tours.

This was a great, overall tour of the highlights of Lisbon and very worthwhile. Our guide was quite knowledgable, personable, and easy to understand. He was able to answer everyone’s questions and provided recommendations for additional sites to see, restaurants, etc. Very pleased and recommend our guide, Luis, and tour.
