Um diese Region Lissabons zu erkunden, ist ein Fahrzeug unerlässlich. Die Serra da Arrabida verspricht Landschaften, die noch sehr wild und unberührt sind. Der Ort Cabo Espichel ist Reisenden noch immer wenig bekannt, dabei aber so außergewöhnlich. Naturliebhaber und alle, die weite, offene Landschaften schätzen, werden begeistert sein. Wir werden uns die Zeit nehmen, das kleine Dorf Sesimbra zu erkunden. Umgeben von einem herrlichen Strand, hat sich dieses Fischerdorf seinen authentischen Charakter bewahrt. Das Mittagessen ist in Sesimbra geplant, wo Sie lokale Spezialitäten genießen können. Als nächstes werden wir eine der schönsten Straßen Portugals befahren. Sie durchquert die Serra da Arrabida, ein Juwel der Natur in ihrem reinsten Zustand. Auf dem Rückweg machen wir Halt bei Christ the King. Diese gewaltige Statue dominiert die Stadt Lissabon und bietet einen außergewöhnlichen Blick auf die Hauptstadt.

Die Fahrzeit von Lissabon nach Cape Espichel beträgt je nach Verkehr etwa 1,5 Stunden.
Strenges und wildes Kap am Rand spektakulärer Klippen. In dieser zerklüfteten Landschaft befinden sich faszinierende Sehenswürdigkeiten, darunter eine Kirche, ein mächtiger Leuchtturm und zwei Dinosaurier-Fußabdrücke. Cabo Espichel ist ein fantastischer Ort, um die Natur in ihrem rohen Zustand zu genießen.
Sesimbra, einer der schönsten Badeorte Portugals, ist historisch ein wichtiges Fischerdorf.
Seit dem 16. Juni 1910 als Nationaldenkmal klassifiziert, ist die Burg von Sesimbra die letzte der portugiesischen Küstenburgen, die sich bis heute in einem guten Erhaltungszustand befindet.
Wir nehmen die berühmte Straße N379, mythisch und malerisch, sie durchquert einen Teil der Serra d'Arrabida. Dieser 10.800 Hektar große Naturpark wird auf der einen Seite vom Berg und auf der anderen Seite von der außergewöhnlich schönen Küste begrenzt.
Auf dem Rückweg sollten wir einen Zwischenstopp einlegen, um die imposante Statue des Cristo Rei zu bewundern. Dieses Refugium bietet einen atemberaubenden Blick auf die Stadt Lissabon und die Hauptstadt. Es ist möglich, mit dem Aufzug bis ganz nach oben auf die Statue zu fahren (Bezahlung vor Ort).
Die Rückfahrt dauert ca. 1 Stunde, die Zeit kann je nach Verkehr variieren.

We loved the concept of a tour in a very comfortable van from the times we were kids (and it was a long time ago!). Moreover this almost a private tour, and the way you see the beauties of Lisbon region becomes different, I would say more intimate. The owner Laura passes you on the passion she has for her adopted motherland. If you wish to discover the region in an informal and friendly atmosphere, this is the tour you should choose.

After a week of sightseeing and walking and battling the crowds this trip was a respite for the senses. I felt like a VIP riding solo in my VW chariot with a charming and knowledgeable host Cristiano. I didn’t really know what to expect but was blown away by the beauty of the coastline. Cabo Espichel is a remote church and lighthouse with spectacular views and is well worth the long and winding drive. The Sesimbra castle is very walkable with a beautiful blue tiled church-I had not seen a church decor like this before. Cristiano arranged for a lunch seaside in Sesimbra which was quiet and the food was delicious. Expect to pay tourist prices. Then the drive to Setúbal along the coast through the Serra Arrábida is just breathtaking. It was slightly cloudy and even so it was gorgeous. The fortress in Setúbal was very interesting - very different from the castles I had visited. We were also able to make an unscheduled stop on the Almada side of the bridge to take in the view of Lisbon. Overall this was the perfect tour for my last day in Portugal. I’m so glad an opted for something away from Lisbon and places North. This is a must see part of this beautiful country!!

Excellent time spent in the company of Laura and Cristiano. Super interesting explanations, very good atmosphere. The view was magnificent. We only want to go back! Do not change anything from the reservation until the excursion. Not to be missed if you are passing through Lisbon!
