Great way to learn about Lisbon and find some hidden food and drink gems.

Dani was a wonderful tour guide (working on her birthday no less), taking us to some delicious off the beaten path places that we never would have found on our own. We learned a lot about the history of Lisbon while enjoying great food at our different stops. This was a great way to explore the city, learn some history, and sample some excellent food. I thought the length of the tour was just right, too. Highly recommend!

Highlight of our holiday

Our guide Raquel was so knowledgeable and friendly, it was great to be guided around local spots and experience the food along with being told about all of its historic importance and the connections and culture, Raquel also gave us some wonderful advice on spots to visit. Highly recommend this tour, especially at the start of your trip to lean all of the amazing things you may not otherwise find or experience.

A Taste of Lisbon

Bruno was an outstanding food tour guide and made our time in Lisbon truly memorable. His knowledge of Lisbon’s rich history added so much depth and context to the experience, bringing the city’s neighborhoods and landmarks to life. Beyond the history, Bruno introduced us to a wonderful variety of local foods and took us to interesting spots we never would have discovered on our own. His enthusiasm, expertise, and friendly personality made the tour both educational and delicious. We highly recommend Bruno to anyone looking to experience the authentic flavors and fascinating history of Lisbon.

Great Food and amazing cultural experience!

This was an amazing tour. The food was great but our guide Daniel brought the culture alive and was able to relate it to his families history. The tour was paced nicely and I will do it again if I am lucky enough to return to Lisbon!

Hidden corners of yum

Dani is the best. An adorable, lively and effusive tour guide who tugs on your hearts strings with stories of her father and growing up in Portugal. She is also has a background in anthropology, so she weaves the personal together with digestible history, exploring back alleys I would never have known existed to demonstrate Lisbon’s extremely diverse and eclectic palate. We met dear Antonio, who provided house made cherry liquor, spoke no English, but managed his hole in the wall bar like a King! We ate Samosa filled with beef and the world’s best pork sandwich. Bravo for the best tour we took in Portugal!

Small Group, Big Experience: A Lisbon Tour with Bruno I’ll Never Forget

As a solo traveler, I was able to send a message and call the company because I didn’t see the guide at the meeting location. But the person over the phone told me not to move, they would get in touch with the guide, which was Bruno and he found me and gathered me to join the group. I was very impressed with this customer service since this was my first trip to Portugal as a so traveler. Then I met with the group, I loved how small it was, had a couple from the UK and Another country. Bruno started off with introductions which was lovely and showed a level of respect and care for those ready for the tour, he gave a touch of personalization. I loved that our group was diverse and it was fun learning from each other and how we all came from vast backgrounds and walks of life. Bruno as a guide was incredibly professional, funny, friendly, lovely and enthusiastic! He has a charm about him that makes you feel you’re in the right place. Going through the city of Lisbon and the different neighborhoods was unique, historic, interesting, love the architecture and the many fun facts surrounding Lisbon, food, people, culture and music. Learned about Fado, the difference in wine and fried one that had a hint of moonshine which was fascinating. We also tried a slow cooking beef sandwich that you could put mustard or a little hint of hot sauce. We ran into Antonio who had Ginjinha (or Ginja), the famous Portuguese sour cherry liqueur that originated in Lisbon. This had this gentle hint of sweetness to it. A also tried green wine which looked like champagne and some a pastel de nata is a specific type of Portuguese egg custard tart with a side of espresso. Fun fact we learned about the bakery is that they had a phone simply for the palace who would make calls to request for bakery and coffee. I love the way Bruno delivered the history of the tour, even though he says he’s an actor too, you can tell he thoroughly enjoys sharing the experience of Portugal with you. Thanks Bruno and congrats again on that Masters Degree! -Elena
