Lissabon: Authentische Live Fado Show in Alfama mit Portwein

Wonderful show, super informative and the music was beautiful. Almost made me cry. Went with my grandma who has limited mobility and they were very sweet and helpful to her.

An experience totally different from those usually offered to tourists who, in general, are looking to have a first approach to fado. In this case, a very good voice, very good guitar, and a brief and very interesting tour of the history of fado, old artists, other musical influences, and the main elements that build each piece are offered. With a personal approach. Highly recommended.

We learned so much about the history and traditions of Fado, which made the performance even more meaningful. The owner and singer was incredibly kind, welcoming, and truly talented. You could feel the passion and emotion in every song. It was an authentic and memorable experience that gave us a deeper appreciation for Portuguese culture. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Portugal and looking for a special evening.

A magical blend of learning the history of fado, listening to beautiful performances by the guitarists and singers and joining in a fun sing-along. The glass of port to start was a treat - we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and it was a very fun introduction to Lisbon on our first day in the city.

Took my family to see this Fado and we all loved it. We learned the history of Fado and were moved by the music. The setting felt intimate and personal and the 12 string guitar has inspired my son to learn it. Would highly recommend!!

This is a must do when coming to Portugal! I took my daughter to this. We both were blown away by the amazing talent of Mario and his friends. Fado is important piece to Portuguese culture. Please don’t miss this you won’t be disappointed.

My family and I truly had such a wonderful time during this Fado experience. The ambiance was wonderful, the wine was delicious and the performers were extremely talented! We especially enjoyed also being able to learn about the history of Fado and different types of this music alongside listening to the stellar live music. I’ve been to flamenco and other shows like this and haven’t had this kind of experience before. I would highly recommend!

The hosts explained what Fado is (and isn’t), played a variety of versions, and even asked us to join in at the end.

Excellent intro to traditional Fado. Mario is entertaining and informative! Beautiful singing by him and the female artist (I didn’t catch her name), as well as a talented performance on a 12 string Portuguese by the guitarist. Highly recommend!
