One of the worst tours I’ve taken. The guide provided no guidance, smoked in the car despite my request, and asked me to visit sites on my own. The main citadel was closed due to a strike—something he should have known. He kept rushing to end the tour early and repeatedly messaged me while I was praying. This was supposed to be a guided tour but felt like an overpriced taxi ride. Total waste of time and money. Not recommended.
We would like to address several inaccuracies in this review for clarity. The experience booked clearly states in the includes that it provides an English/Arabic-speaking driver, not a tour guide. This was never advertised as a guided tour, and the price reflects a vehicle and driver service — which is why it was among the most affordable options available. During the trip, the driver offered to accompany you; however, you chose to explore the citadel, souq, and mosque on your own and explicitly asked the driver to wait in the vehicle. This is confirmed by WhatsApp messages exchanged during the tour. After approximately four hours, the driver contacted you solely to check on your well-being — not to rush or end the tour. You later requested his location, and he confirmed he was still waiting at the same place. Regarding the citadel, even during strike periods, visitors are still permitted to enter and explore the site. Access was not restricted. We have reviewed vehicle CCTV and GPS records, which confirm the full itinerary was completed as booked, including transportation to the train station after you returned from your independent visit. There is no evidence supporting the allegation of smoking in the vehicle. A full refund was later requested on the grounds that the tour was “not guided.” As the service delivered matched exactly what was advertised and booked, the refund request was declined. We take our responsibilities seriously and stand by the service provided. We strongly encourage all travelers to carefully read tour descriptions and inclusions prior to booking to ensure expectations align with the experience offered.
It was a pleasant trip. I always felt safe. Unfortunately, you can see that there is no money to maintain sights. People are very polite for that. I didn't see the soap shop, but I ate Knafeh nicely at Hallab:). Ali, the driver, was very accommodating, a safe driver and responded flexibly to my wishes to see other things.
We took a day-trip transfer to Tripoli with our driver, Kassem, who was incredibly welcoming and friendly. He went above and beyond by showing us around the city and ensuring we saw everything we wanted to see (even through we did not book this) making the day go perfectly to plan. We felt completely safe and comfortable throughout our time in Lebanon and highly encourage others to visit this beautiful country. Huge thanks to Kassem and Zingy Ride for an unforgettable experience!
My husband and I booked a private tour to Tripoli and Batroun with Zing Rides, and it was truly one of my favorite tours to date. Everything was perfectly organized, timely, smooth communication, and tailored to my preferences. The contrast between the two cities gave us such a unique perspective on Lebanon. I’ve traveled the world and been on countless tours, but what stood out here was not just the sites or history, it was the depth of conversation. I learned so much about Lebanon’s history, culture, and recent events. I felt comfortable asking about all the questions about this country I really didn't know much about before coming, and the responses were detailed, insightful, and thoughtful. This is the kind of knowledge that stays with you long after the trip is over. I’m already looking forward to coming back and exploring more with Zing Rides. Could not recommend them enough. Thank you for an unforgettable day!
Definitely recommend this tour for an authentic local experience! My driver was very attentive and walked with me everywhere, sharing all his knowledge along the way. I really appreciated his professionalism. The tour was both affordable and enjoyable.
I wanted to see Tripoli and I only had one day left in Beirut, I contacted zingy ride via email and after less than 30 minutes they responded to me on WhatsApp giving availability despite the short notice. I had Mahdi Sfeir as a driver who in my opinion could also be a guide because he knows a lot about Lebanon. He was very friendly, kind and nice. I don't like staying in silence for many hours in the car and he always answered and spoke to me. Time flew by. I can give 1000 stars to the Zingy Ride agency, they are honest, punctual, friendly and have many offers. Trust them with your eyes closed and ask for Mahdi Sfeir
Tripoli is Lebanon's second largest city and provides visitors with a great traditional Middle Eastern vibe. Tripoli has avoided the commercialization that has defined many large cities, and its unique flavor is infectious. Wander around the winding market places and historical sites and you will soon find yourself falling for its charm. Tripoli is a big city so a car comes in handy. Simply take the coastal highway north and follow the signs to Tripoli.
I would call it not a tour, but a shared touristic taxi. Because the trip is not guided. Our driver was Ali. He was very nice and polite. We felt safe and sound. I would recommend this tour company, if you drive with Ali. But mind that Ali is not a guide. We traveled with a non guided tour. If you want to receive full experience, you need to advice the driver where to go and where to stop. Otherway, you will pass all the planned route very fast and you will have nothing to do much earlier before the time of the planned trip over.
Thank you for your review, good thing it was stated in the includes and excludes that it was not a guided tour, but the fact that you had to mention it several times is a bit alarming. to avoid any misunderstanding in the future, its always best to read includes and excludes before making any booking Thank you
Everything was really cool! Tripoli and the way there from Beirut are beautiful and worth to see. Our driver Mahdi made this unforgettable 10/10
The journey to Tripoli was broken up with short stops along the way, and knowledgeable and interesting information. We were the only ones on the trip so our guide Rabih kindly allowed us any flexibility we wanted in terms of where and how long we stopped. Tripoli Citadel is gorgeous! Beautifully restored and incredible to wander around absorbing the feelings of the past, and see huge views of the city and region from the top. We then wandered through the Souks, which gave a good idea of local life past and present. We were not ‘hassled’ at all (unlike some other city Souks) and felt safe and welcome. We were able to choose where and when to eat lunch. We carried on to visit the Mosque, and along the way back saw and learned about the old railways. I was able to get out and walk on the beach for a while and paddle my hot feet! Highly recommend this company.
