Die Tarpon Feeding Haltestelle ist mit Abstand eines der Highlights der Tour. Wir sagen gerne, wenn Sie noch nicht ganz wach sind, ist dies der Halt, der garantiert Ihr Herz zum Pumpen bringt! Tarpons sind massive Fische, die bis zu 8 Fuß lang werden und bis zu 300 Pfund wiegen können. Die Fütterung dieser springenden Riesen ist ein unvergessliches Erlebnis, das Sie auf keinen Fall verpassen sollten, wenn Sie Caye Caulker besuchen.
Das Belize Barrier Reef ist etwa 287 Meilen lang. Auf einer ganztägigen Tour von Caye Caulker aus erkunden Sie nur einen kleinen Teil seiner Pracht. Unser nächster Halt ist nur 8 Minuten von Caye Caulker entfernt, wo wir 2 bis 3 Hauptgebiete des Riffs nach Seekühen absuchen. Sobald wir gefunden sind, schnorcheln wir mit ihnen – natürlich – während wir eine respektvolle Distanz wahren und jegliche Berührung oder Belästigung dieser majestätischen Kreaturen vermeiden. Wenn wir zunächst kein Glück haben, fahren wir zu anderen Haltestellen weiter und versuchen es auf dem Rückweg nach Caye Caulker erneut.
Unser nächster Halt ist der Coral Garden. Hier können Sie in Ihrem eigenen Tempo schnorcheln und erkunden – egal, ob Sie lieber alleine oder mit einem Reisekumpel oder Partner unterwegs sind, unabhängig von Ihrem Erfahrungsniveau. Obwohl der Coral Garden außerhalb des Schutzgebietes liegt, behandeln wir alle Schnorchelstopps mit der gleichen Sorgfalt und Respekt. Das heißt, kein Stehenbleiben, Berühren der Korallen oder Sammeln von etwas vom Riff. Der Korallengarten ist die Heimat einer großen Vielfalt an wunderschönen Pflanzen und Tieren, darunter Meeresschildkröten, Stachelrochen, Ammenhaie, Adlerrochen, Muränen und viele verschiedene Fischarten, sowie eine atemberaubende Auswahl an Korallenformationen in allen Formen, Größen und Farben.
Unsere kleine Version der Titanic – der Sunken Barge – ist etwa 40 Fuß lang und 20 Fuß breit. Es ist seit vielen Jahren eine einzigartige Attraktion, dank der großen Vielfalt an Korallen und Fischen, die es zu ihrer Heimat gemacht haben. Obwohl es ein kleines Gebiet umfasst, ist es auf seine eigene Weise unglaublich interessant. Als großes, hohles Gebilde weiß man nie, was sich darin oder darunter verstecken könnte – wie massive Muränen, Ammenhaie, Schildkröten und Löwenfische. Nach mehr als 30 Jahren unter Wasser ist der Kahn nun wunderschön mit einer lebendigen Mischung aus Hart- und Weichkorallen verkrustet, was seinen Charme und seine ökologische Bedeutung erhöht.
Als nächstes erreichen wir das Hol Chan Marine Reserve und erreichen die Shark and Ray Alley – eine der unterhaltsamsten und aufregendsten Schnorchelstationen. Ammenhaie, die zu den gefügigsten Haien in unserem Riff gehören, sind die einzigen Haiarten, die in diesem Gebiet häufig vorkommen. Sie teilen sich die Gewässer mit Südlichen Stachelrochen und einer Vielzahl von Fischen, die alle das begrenzte Glucksen in diesem ausgewiesenen Teil des Reservats nutzen. Sobald irgendein Schiff einläuft, beginnen die Haie zu spuren und erwarten Nahrung. Und sobald wir unser Boot an eine der Bojenleinen binden, sammeln sie sich nahe dem Heck auf der Steuerbordseite und wirbeln in Erwartung von Sardinen herum. Diese Haie können leicht von Bord aus betrachtet werden, da sie dem Boot sehr nahe kommen – aber natürlich laden wir Sie ein, einzusteigen und das Erlebnis wirklich unvergesslich zu machen.
Der Hol Chan Kanal ist die erste geschützte Zone des Reservats, die aus dem Jahr 1987 stammt. Dieser Kanal ist voller Meereslebewesen und bietet ein unglaubliches Schnorchelerlebnis. Da wir uns jetzt in einem Schutzgebiet befinden, gelten strenge Regeln für jeden, der hier einsteigt und schnorchelt. Alle Gäste müssen ihrem Guide jederzeit folgen, da der Kanal gelegentlich starke Strömungen und mehrere Gruppen von Schnorchlern in der Umgebung haben kann. Während des Schnorchelns wird Ihr Guide auch lehrreiche Einblicke in das Meeresleben geben. Er oder sie wird hinabtauchen und nach dem Auftauchen verschiedene Fisch- und Korallenarten identifizieren und benennen, so dass jeder die Möglichkeit hat, mehr über das Unterwasserökosystem zu erfahren. Dieser Stopp dauert je nach Bedingungen in der Regel etwa 30 bis 40 Minuten. Sicherheit steht bei uns immer an erster Stelle – aber natürlich wollen wir, dass auch alle Spaß haben.

We had an amazing day with Alwyn and EJ, swimming with a manatee, sharks, turtles and fish. They are knowledgeable and caring about marine life. This really was a memorable trip.
We had an incredible tour with black hawk tours. The guides and captain Al and EJ were both knowledgeable and environmentally aware. They are passionate to show you the reef while keeping diligent to protect the reefs biodiversity. They are super fun and made the trip even more amazing we were so lucky to see manatees, nurse sharks, eagle rays and turtles along with many beautiful fish species . My girlfriend and I had an incredible experience today on our Hol Chan Marine Reserve tour with Blackhawk Tours. Kelvin was very friendly and helpful explaining everything to us the day before the tour so we knew exactly how to prepare prior to the tour. Our tour was led by Al and Daniel who both offered an amazing and fun experience with their professionalism, overall knowledge and hospitality. We were given a perfect amount of time at each stop of the tour and were fully able to enjoy and take advantage of each experience offered. With opportunities to see many different species of fish, Sting Rays, Sea Turtles, Sharks and even a Manatee, this tour offered incredible and unforgettable experiences. Lunch, drinks and fruit were served onboard and everyone was given time to be able to take a break and eat during the tour. Overall I would recommend this tour 100 % ! The last day of our special birthday trip to Caye Caulker was spent on the boat with the best tour/snorkling guides, Al and EJ from Blackhawk Tours! They were super cool guys, very fun and very knowledgeable. We saw everything and more than we were promised, including the most beautiful male and female couple of manatees that let us just float along and hang out with them in the water for as long as we wanted. EJ is an expert diver, safely drawing hidden animals out from their camouflage and explaining everything in great detail. And the lunch, fruit, and rum punch were perfect! Couldn’t imagine a better day, and an extremely competitive price as well. Do yourself a favor and book with these guys! Walk into the office and chat with Kelvin, he’ll hook you up!

Fantastic tour, didn’t love the shark feedings (bad for wildlife) but the guides were kind and passionate about conservation. They did everything in their power to make sure we had the best experience possible, and I appreciated the smaller size of the group seeing what some of the other boats out there looked like

We had an amazing full day snorkelling trip with Blackhawk Tours Belize and would highly recommend it. Al kept everyone laughing all day, while EJ was so informative about the marine life — they both made the whole experience fun, relaxed and professional. By the end of the day our group of 12 all felt like friends, so shout out to everyone for making it such a great day! They were also incredibly kind and attentive to my mother, who was a little less confident in the water, and made her feel completely at ease throughout the trip. If you’re at all nervous about snorkelling, you’ll be in very safe hands. We were lucky enough to see dolphins, manatees, turtles, sharks, tarpons, sting rays, barracuda, coral and loads of tropical fish - truly unforgettable. Lunch was also fantastic, a plentiful homecooked packed lunch with fresh fruit afterwards. Definitely go for the baked chicken! You will also leave with several free photos and videos they take or let you take with their own GoPro. I didn’t even really need my own phone, they have you covered. Overall, a brilliantly run experience that was absolutely worth the money and one of the highlights of our Belize trip. Thank you thank you to the entire team (office team included too)!
