This is a highly enjoyable experience that takes you to the heart of the lavender fields and a lovely market town. I found it to be a wonderful way to appreciate Provence, loved it. (Just one word of caution, if you travel alone, you may be asked to juggle your tour time closer to dates to accommodate larger groups. All 3 tours I booked in Provence tried to do this to me, not great if you travel solo.)
We had the best time on this tour! We went to 4 lavender fields, each one more spectacular and colorful. We had a nice stop in Roussillon for shopping and lunch. I highly recommend it.
Travelers should know that the drive to the fields is over an hour long.....and quite a lovely drive. Also, the tour should be timed correctly since the fields start getting cut when the flowers dry.
Beautiful scenery. Our guide explained the whole time about the region. Definitely worth it! Two thumbs up 👍 My next trip to Avignon I will visit the first wine region in France, Château neuf de papes
This is a fabulous and once in a lifetime experience. Strongly recommend. Their tour guide Ann knew everything so well. She took us to the best of locations with perfect lavender views.
Great experience. Went to a lot of beautiful photo destinations and learned a lot about Provence’s lavender fields. Gordana was an amazing guide and really made us feel comfortable / cared for. Overall I highly recommend the experience.
The guide sent a message, saying that shw may be late so that we might be patient in waiting her. So I and my wife were waiting at the meeting point for 30 minutes after the scheduled meeting time. Well, then a van came to the meeting point, and left immediately without picking up us. We seemed invisble to her. So we made a call, then the van came back. Anyway we enjoyed the tour. The place we visited were really beautiful.
We were picked up at the town hall as pre arranged and after introductions, we set off through Avignon and on our way to the mountain and Sault. Anne, our guide was very informative about the local area and on lavender. We visited a little distillery and then made our way to Sault for lunch. Both myself and my parents loved the tour and would recommend. Beautiful part of the world and we learnt a lot in the 5 hours we were with Anne. Thanks for a great tour!
Ann was a great guide on our thoroughly enjoyable afternoon tour of the lavender fields and stunning scenery of Provence. Ann is very knowledgable and gave our small group a really interesting and relaxing visit. Highly recommended
Took this tour with my teenage daughter. I would recommend this for adults and definitely not with smaller children as they will be bored. The views were nice and we enjoyed the villages. Note, the stop at the Abbaye is merely to view it from the nearby hills. One of the women in my group had signed up specifically to see this and was disappointed we could not go down and explore it. Learned some about the lavender industry and stopped for some scenic photos. Driver seemed very rushed the entire tour. Perhaps the full-day tour is more relaxed.
