Batu Caves ist ein Kalksteinhügel mit einer Reihe von Höhlen und Höhlentempeln in Gombak, Selangor. Der Kalkstein, der die Batu-Höhlen bildet, soll etwa 400 Millionen Jahre alt sein. Einige der Höhleneingänge wurden von den Ureinwohnern der Temuan (einem Stamm der Orang Asli) als Unterschlupf genutzt. Die Höhle ist einer der beliebtesten hinduistischen Schreine außerhalb Indiens und ist Lord Murugan gewidmet. Es ist der Mittelpunkt des hinduistischen Festivals von Thaipusam in Malaysia. Batu-Höhlen werden kurz auch als 10. Höhlen oder Hügel für Lord Muruga bezeichnet, da es sechs wichtige heilige Schreine in Indien und vier weitere in Malaysia gibt. Die drei anderen in Malaysia sind der Kallumalai-Tempel in Ipoh, der Tanneermalai-Tempel in Penang und der Sannasimalai-Tempel in Malakka. Hinweis: Halten Sie die Augen offen, um sich der Affen bewusst zu sein. Füttere sie nicht! Halten Sie Kameras nahe und verwenden Sie einen Halsriemen, wenn Sie einen haben. Bitte tragen Sie keine Plastiktüten, Affen werden darauf aggressiv.
Malaysische Batik ist Batik-Textilkunst Malaysias, insbesondere an der Ostküste Malaysias. Die beliebtesten Motive sind Blätter und Blüten. Wir bringen Sie nach Batik Chong für eine geführte Tour zur Herstellung von Batik. Nutzen Sie diese Gelegenheit, um ein Stück handgemachte Batik aus Malaysia als Souvenir mitzubringen. Ihr nächster Halt ist die Selayang Hot Spring, wo Sie Ihre müden Füße im heilenden Mineralwasser einweichen können. Laut den Einheimischen existiert dieser Ort seit vier Jahrzehnten und ist ein beliebter Ort unter den Einheimischen. Sie glaubten, dass dieses Quellwasser sie von Hautkrankheiten und anderen Leiden heilen könne. Daher ist es nicht verwunderlich, dass besonders an den Wochenenden viele ältere und junge Menschen zum Baden hierher kommen.
Der Distrikt Gombak ist ein Verwaltungsbezirk im Bundesstaat Selangor. Vor 1974 war Gombak eine Stadt, bevor es ein Bezirk wurde. Gombak war die Heimat der Siedlungen der ersten Minangkabau-Einwanderer im 19. Jahrhundert und wurde bald darauf gegründet. Alte Moscheen im Gombak-Gebiet wie die Masjid Lama Batu 6 Gombak stehen noch heute.
Fahren Sie dann weiter zu den Kanching Falls, um einen Blick auf den beeindruckenden siebenstufigen Wasserfall zu werfen. Sie entscheiden, wie lange Sie im Schatten verweilen, auf den Felsbrocken klettern oder ein erfrischendes Bad nehmen möchten. Great service, very friendly driver. Ontime, goid communication and respectful. Unfortunately the springs are being renovated, but the guide added another half hour in to the caves. Waterfall- 1 hours 30 minutes Batu caves - 1 hour 30mins, Batik - 30 minutes Lunch - 1 hour Pewter factory- 1 hour Travelling time 1 hour. You need walking shoes for the waterfall, steps lead up to 4th level, then difficult ttrack. Wont get much higher in the tine, so stay there. Also arrive in swimwear if you intend to swim.

Tour was nice except for pulling up to the hot springs (which we were REALLY looking forward to) and seeing that it was shut down. Was informed by viator that there would be NO consideration for partial refund for not being able to experience that portion of our trip. Very disappointed in that, so buyer beware. Other than that, trip was nice.

There were elements about this tour that were very good and some not. First of all we were told on booking that we would need to go to a meeting point but infact our driver picked us up outside our hotel (he was early and we were in the process of getting a taxi). Our driver was helpful and polite. We were only ones in the car. The first stop was a natural hotspring which was very interesting and very laid back with mostly locals enjoying the water and doing their washing. The visit felt about the right amount of time. The waterfalls were also lovely and well worth the walk to them, but as our stay was only about 30 mins we didn't bother going into the water only for it to be a short time and then have to get dried and dressed again. Perhaps if it was later in the day we would have been hotter and felt more like a dip! The Batu Caves part of the visit was a big disappointment as the stop was only for 20 minutes. This meant you only had time to look at the outside with no time to go in if you wished. We felt a bit cheated that we weren't able to walk up the steps or go in. We did however enjoy interacting with the monkeys wandering around and feeding them our peanuts which they finished off for us. We then had quite a long stay at pewter factory which whilst interesting wasn't what we signed up for. I felt this was an opportunity for you to be sold something and would much rather have spent more time at Batu caves. The lunch was at a small local cafe which didn't impress much on the way in but the food was served on banana leaves, felt very authentic and was delicious, so we left impressed. So all in all not a bad day but there were some disappointments.

The tour guide was very good and drove us around safely and was helpful when asked to stop to access a shop. The lunch was in a cafe type establishment but the food was excellent and served very authentically. My only complaint is that we were most interested in the Batu caves but the stop is very short (20 minutes) and meant we had no opportunity to enter any of the caves or climb up to the highest one and at least take in the view. We would like this stop to have been at least 1 hour and we would happily have foregone the pewter factory and Batic stops although they were interesting. Also the waterfall stop was 30 mins which put us off taking a swim as the time it would take to get dry afterwards wasn’t worth it for the time you would get to swim. We had a driver to ourselves which was nice but didn’t feel able to negotiate times of stops as there was a set schedule .

The driver Hari was very helpful and very nice. The tour required physical stamina with lots of steps to the waterfalls so would be best to state that in the advert.

Great day trip! Was only in KL for a few days but this tour was great way to see the rainforest, waterfalls and Batu Caves. Got plenty of time at each spot, small tour and comfy bus. Great value for money, as included entrance fees everywhere and a nice lunch.
