Highly recommend this tour! Simone was the best guide and driver! Simone arranged an unplanned wine tasting for us at a fantastic local winery in San Gigmone. Sylvia was our amazing local guide in Siena. Fun and full of energy and knowledge. The town of San Gigmone is beautiful!
Dear Customer, thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear that you had such a great time on the tour and that Simone made your experience extra special with his flexibility and local insight. We’ll be sure to pass along your kind words to him! We're also glad you enjoyed your time with Sylvia in Siena, she truly loves sharing her knowledge and energy with our guests. San Gimignano is indeed a gem, and we're happy you appreciated its beauty. We hope to see you again soon for another unforgettable adventure in Tuscany! Best regards, ACCORD Team
We enjoyed our private day tour our Driver Simone was great very accomodating, he really looked after my 81 year old Mother who did not part take in the tour around Siena, he made an extra stop so that we could take advantage of our time there which was great, he also went out of his way in the end to find a Pharmacy for us which was greatly appreciated, the only reason I did not give this tour a 5 star rating was because I did not get to see the Duomo in Siena or the Museum which I really wanted to see, my guide was great but I feel should have pre purchased the tickets then I would have reimbursed her & I could have got to see what I was really hoping to see, however I still really enjoyed the tour & my time with the guide. Many Thanks
Dear Stella, Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We are really pleased that you enjoyed the tour and appreciated the kindness and courtesy of our driver and guide. Unfortunately the Cathedral was not included in the program, at your request we could have included it anyway.... It might be a good excuse to visit us again, what do you say? Thank you and have a good time
This was a great trip. Siena was absolutely beautiful. The roads to get there were very curvy and my son got car sick. The tour guide at Siena was great. She was very flexible and was open to our changes and what we were interested in. We extended our time at Siena in order to be able to sit down for lunch. We were only able to be at San G for 10 min. The driver was also flexible with our changes but we did feel a little rushed. We could’ve spent the entire day at Siena. It was marvelous.
The trip to Siena was enjoyable and the our guide there was passionate about her community and its history. Our guide spent too much time on details that we would not remember and was a bit too slow paced for us. Siena itself is a fascinating place to visit and is a good pair with San Gimignano and makes for a full day. San Gimignano was full of tourist but delightful to visit. We found the tour to be pricey for what it offered.
Francesco, our driver, was an absolute asset to us on this tour! He accommodated our wishes and requests and even took us on some backroads for the best scenery he could find! We met him right at the port where he was waiting, holding a sign with our name. He navigated the streets with expertise and ease and made us very comfortable on the ride. He briefed us on a little bit of history in the area and answered some questions we had along the way. At the first stop in Sienna, we met our guide Sigriet at St. Catherine's Basilica. In earnest, Sigriet was a detriment to us exploring the city on this tour. While she explained the history and vastly detailed St. Catherine's importance to Sienna, we spent FAR too much time on these aspects, and would rather have had more time to visit the Duomo. Instead, we had to choose between the Duomo and the museum and Sigriet suggested the museum. I'm not certain that was the best option, especially given the very limited time we had there, but it was what it was. We would have loved to explore more of the different neighborhoods as well. We grabbed a quick bite to eat at the museum cafeteria and then it was time to go. Sigriet was kind enough to take us past the drop-off point to meet up with Francesco. From there, we drove to San Gimignano. Francesco drove up a side road leading to the City to share with us the most picturesque spot he knew to see the whole town. It was beautiful with the Tuscan hills, vineyards, and olive groves in the foreground. He informed us of some tips to see in the town and talked a bit about the towers then left us to explore on our own. With a little more time (and better mobility) we would have loved to have climbed one of the towers to see the inside, but we just didn't have time. Afterward, we had requested (when booking the tour) to allow time to detour to Pisa for a quick photo of the leaning tower. Francesco so kindly obliged (keeping us informed of the time allotments throughout the day) and we took a quick 15-minute stop to see the famous landmark. Upon returning to the ship, we felt like had made fantastic use of our port day in Livorno!
Dear Sarah, We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your tour with Francesco in Siena and San Gimignano, as well as the brief stop in Pisa. Your detailed description of your experiences during the tour is very helpful for anyone considering a similar visit. We apologize for the less satisfying experience with the guide Sigriet in Siena, but we appreciate your honest feedback. Such feedback is valuable and can help us improve our tour offerings in the future. We hope you had a wonderful stay in Livorno and that this excursion added a special touch to your visit. Thank you for sharing with us, Best regards ACCORD Team
Both our driver and our tour guide Rosella were great. Both cities are beautiful and unique and it was a great way to see the Tuscan countryside in one day. Highly recommend!
Dear Loretta, thank you for 5 stars and for spending your time with this marvelous review! We're happy to see you've enjoyed the experience so much, this is our best gratification. Tours by minivan are a great choice to escape from the city and they're the best and comfortable way to explore what Tuscany has to offer in just one day. We hope to have you back with us again on other tours, we do have much more destinations also including wine and food!! Best regards ACCORD Team
Great driver, great tour guide! Lovely and must go places! Great mini van!! 2 hours from Celebrity port but worth it.
