Had a fantastic day with Marta! Friendly, fun personable and so knowledgeable! Sent us videos related to what we learned and saw on our tour! 3 lovely towns to enjoy - Highly recommend it!
Safe driver, very informative and personable. Wonderful views and day experience. This was the only option we found that allowed us to see Sienna while docked for the day in Livorno. Great for a quick taste of Tuscany!
Grazie 😊
We booked this trip mostly because of the Siena part of the tour. However, Viator did not let us know that the Siena Cathedral would not be open for tours that day (which was the main interest of the group). We learned about the Cathedral closure on our own. Further, we were not informed until we got into the van that the main square in Siena would be blocked off for the horse races which would prevent us from seeing other sites in Siena. The city would be very crowded for the horse race event. Had we known these things ahead of time, we may have chosen another tour. Fortunately, our driver, Nick, who had to deliver the bad news about Siena, saved the day by offering alternative places to visit. We chose not to go to Siena knowing that it would be very crowded and the Cathedral plus the main city square would be closed. With Nick's help and guidance and alternative choices, the day was enjoyed by everyone. Viator needs to monitor all the tour stops and venues of its advertised tours and keep the customers informed. It would be nice to know ahead of time who the driver will be.
Thank you very much for sharing your feedback with us. We are truly sorry to hear about the unexpected situation in Siena. Unfortunately, the Palio horse race days and the temporary closures of the Cathedral are events that sometimes limit access to the main sites, and we understand how disappointing this can be when Siena is the highlight of your tour. We are, however, very glad to know that Nick was able to turn the day into a positive experience by offering you alternative destinations and ensuring you still enjoyed your journey in Tuscany. He is indeed an excellent member of our team, and we will make sure to share your kind words with him. Your suggestion regarding better communication in advance is very valuable to us. We are already working on improving our updates about local events and closures so our guests can make fully informed decisions before the tour. Thank you again for your trust, and we truly hope to welcome you back to Tuscany in the future for an even more seamless and memorable experience.
It is a long day, but very entertaining. I loved seeing the country side. The towns we visited were like something a story book.
We enjoyed the drive through the beautiful Tuscan countryside. The areas visited were nice but very crowded with tourists. Our driver was personable and thoughtful.
Thanks!! Itlay is one of the most country visited in the world!! The number of tourists is not under our control!!
Vito was our driver and he was amazing. Very knowledgeable. He executed every stop we requested and was knowledgeable about the time we had to make each stop happen. The area was beautiful and amazing. The suggestions were perfect 🤩. Also, the price compared to the rest was a steal.
Grazie Kevin!
From start to finish, this was by far the best experience we had during our entire 10 day cruise. Maurizio picked us up right outside of the ship gangway in Livorno. The Mercedes van was immaculate and during the drive to Monteriggioni, Maurizio gave us both historical and current information on Tuscany and Italy on general. He was truly a pleasure to speak with - so incredibly nice, knowledgeable and helpful. He gave us tips for each stop in Tuscany and made lunch reservations for us in Siena, where we had an absolutely amazing lunch. We enjoyed every single minute of this tour and would not hesitate to book with Maurizio again! Any tour with Maurizio will be well worth your time and money!
Grazie!! It has been a pleasure stay with you😊
We have visited Tuscany in September and we are very pleased we chose Maurizio's company. Maurizio is obviously very knowledgeable of Tuscany and its history, culture and lifestyle. We first went to Siena where we visit the historic centre included the stunning Duomo. Maurizio told us the history of the Duomo and the more fascinating history of the the Palio di Siena, the famous horse race. After Siena we made a quick stop in Monteriggioni, small but cute town near Siena. We then continued our tour to San Gimignano. The town is so beautiful and characteristic we all those towers. It was definitely my favourite stop; here we visit the centro storico, Piazza della Cisterna e Colmo delle Torri. The whole visit couldn't be more delightful and we had time to have a wine tasting session accompanied by real Tuscan matching food. Apparently every visit in San Gimignano wouldn't be complete without stopping at Dondoli, where we had a big portion of what has been officially voted "the best gelato in the World" We highly recommend Maurizio and his company for any visit in Tuscany.
Thanks a lot!!!
Such a great time in Tuscany with Maurizio. He always provides a fun and knowledgeable tour, no matter where we are in Italy.
