Stephanie was an amazing, very knowledge guide and a lot of fun. The whole experience from being in the water snorkeling with whale sharks, snorkeling with sea lions, colorful fish, coral and other sea life was one I will never forget. We even got to stop near an island and see blue footed boobies. Truly an amazing trip. I highly recommend Tuna Tuna, Stephanie, and Juan Carlos.
Stephanie and the captain made this tour absolutely unforgettable! I was traveling solo, and the rest of the group included two families (one American and one Hispanic), but I never once felt out of place—I truly felt part of the group the entire time. Stephanie, who is from La Paz and bilingual, has an amazing personality and made the whole experience fun, welcoming, and easy to enjoy. We had lunch on Balandra Beach, which was honestly the most breathtaking place I have ever seen—pictures and videos don’t even come close to doing it justice. It’s toward the end of whale shark season, and I know it took real effort on their part to find one for us—but they did, and we got to swim with it! That alone made the experience incredible. The 6-hour tour was very reasonably priced for everything included, and I would recommend this to anyone. It’s something I will remember forever. Thank you again, Stephanie—you are an AMAZING guide!
Absolutely incredible! We swam with a huge whale shark and sea lions. Our guide knew everything and made us feel very safe- he talked us through everything.
Exactly as promised, well organized, small group, well experienced guide and captain! We saw and swam with a whale shark and sea lions, saw a group of „fake Orcas“ and a humpback calve. Great day!
A great time was had! Our guides were knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and gave us plenty of time to experience Mexico’s spectacular beauty!
Great experience! Swimming with whale sharks was a "once in a lifetime". The guides (Stephanie and Juan) were excellent communicators, set expectations well, and safety was paramount. Very enjoyable - highly recommend!
Great family experience. We enjoyed the boat ride and lunch on the beach. Swimming with a whale shark was an awesome experience. Pablo and Marco were great. Pablo shared facts as well made it clear how respectful to the environment Tuna Tuna is.
Amazing experience! I have snorkeled all over the world but swimming with whale sharks is truly majestic. If you are lucky enough to come to La Paz in the right season. Whale shark sightings are not guaranteed but they make the best attempt. I also appreciate the concern and care they put in to make sure we don’t injure or stress the animals as well. If you are not a good swimmer or disabled like my husband you’ll be able to get a glimpse as it swims by. However, I was able to swim along for a bit and the views were amazing. I can even see tiny fish swimming along the shark’s dorsal fin. Our guide Stephanie clearly knew what she was doing and she explain every step of the experience. We really appreciate how she explained all the safety needs and what to do. There were 4 of us and everyone enjoyed the experience. The other snorkel around the sea lions was nice and the beach lunch was serene and peaceful. One thing to note. It was a requirement that everyone wears their life jacket when swimming with the sea lions as a safety precaution, but wasn’t needed with the whole sharks. Juan, the captain, and Stephanie, the guide, were amazing and kind. I highly recommend this for everyone who enjoys snorkeling.
Hit all the top spots, patient and successful in seeing everything we wanted to see and do, fun and pleasant team, well-equipped, safe, knowledgeable, and overall well worth it. A must-do! ––––––––––––––– We visited all the highlights; the team was patient and got us to see and do everything we wanted. It was a fun and pleasant group, well equipped, safe and with extensive knowledge. Ultimately, it was totally worth it. An essential experience!
We chose this tour to sea both the whale sharks and the sea lions in one day. You have to know ahead of time that seeing the whale sharks is a *brief* experience, meaning the boat will get close to where the whale shark is then you go into the water with the guide and he/she will say “head down” to view it. You might see it for a split second or if you’re very lucky, you’ll see it for a few minutes while swimming alongside it. Depends on how lucky you are and also how fast you can swim. Stefany was amazing as a guide , patient and yet very knowledgeable! Spoke good English although the boat driver Juan didn’t speak any English. After the whale shark sighting, we headed to another area (island called San Rafaelito) to see the sea lions. They are plentiful and aren’t afraid of us humans. However they caution against getting too close as some can get protective of their offspring. After the sea lions sighting we headed to Balandra beach for lunch. What was quite impressive was that everything we needed our picnic was on our boat : food , drinks, cooler, umbrellas, stools for sitting, etc. Stefany set it all up on her own or with minimal help from Juan. They had tasty ceviche , burritos and fresh fruit. The total in the boat was ten passengers and I personally made sure no ceviche was left over.
