La Fortuna : Wildlife Safari Float Tour am Peñas Blancas River

This tour was such a peaceful and relaxing experience. We saw so many different animals—actually everything that was on our list! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, had a great personality, and made the whole experience even better by helping us spot wildlife we never would have seen on our own. Our whole family really enjoyed this tour, and it ended up being one of our favorite experiences in Costa Rica. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to see wildlife in a beautiful setting.

We had a fabulous time on the La Fortuna: Peñas Blancas River Wildlife Safari Float Tour. Our guide, Will, was knowledgeable and funny and pointed out monkeys, a toucan, a sloth, a crocodile, and much more during our tour. They also provided a delicious homemade snack at a nearby farm. This was one of our favorite tours during our stay in Costa Rica.

This was a wonderful experience my wife and I had with our 11 year old grandson. We met the guide at our planned spot at the Green Adventure Tours office which had ample parking. Our guide was there right on time and we left to go to a launch site in a very comfortable van. We went with our 11 year old grandson and he loved the whole trip. Our guide and all the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant and very engaged. Our guide pointed out various birds and animals including lizards, sloths and alligators as we cruised down the river. The inflatable raft provided a very comfortable ride. A float tour ended at a farm where we were provided with fresh fruit drinks, cheese and some desert cakes. All in all a tour that was well organized, most enjoyable and well worth the money. I highly recommend it.

This is a great experience for adults and kids! We went with our 7 year old son and had a blast looking for the different animals in their habitat. Our tour guide, Pablo, was extremely knowledgeable about the animals. We got to see sloths, toucans, monkeys, a variety of birds and a crocodile. The staff was extremely accommodating and patient throughout the process. The snack at the end was a pleasant surprise. I would highly recommend this tour if you are traveling with young children - it is entertaining and exciting for the adults as well.

Great time on the boat! Excellent and knowledgeable guide. Very easy pace, and took time to stop the boat to spot out monkeys, plants and birds. Great small lunch/snacks at the end.

It is a leisurely boat ride to see animals. We saw a sloth, a few monkeys, lizards, cranes and crocodile/cayman. 6 people on a boat with a guide. Not everyone needs to paddle. No rapids in the journey. So, only the feet may get wet. our upper body will not. The best thing is that at the end, there is snack and drink (coffee or fruit juice). That could be enough for a light lunch!

What a a great afternoon. Great guide ensuring we saw everything along the way. Treats at the end were an added bonus!

This was a great tour. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about all the nature and wildlife around us and we got to enjoy it because he did most of the rowing! We saw tons of animals and there was even a sloth in the beginning of the trip. The tour ended at a small farm where we had a snack that was delicious. Highly recommend for a more relaxing but enjoyable tour.

Amazing float trip. Josie really knows his craft. He pointed out many, many birds and animals and knew all their names. We also so 2 families of howler monkeys. He was so informative and answered any question we could think of.

Wonderful experience with family including two young kids, 7 and 9. Seeing the animals was fantastic, as was our guide! Bring sunscreen and hats, lots of fun in the sun. The snack at the end was delicious! Highly recommend this tour.
