Der Arashiyama Bambuswald ist eine der ikonischsten Natursehenswürdigkeiten Kyotos. Ein kurzer Wanderweg windet sich durch hoch aufragende Bambusstängel und schafft so ein ruhiges und stimmungsvolles Erlebnis. Das sanfte Geräusch des Windes durch den Bambus macht es zu einer friedlichen Flucht aus der Stadt.
Der Kinkakuji-Tempel, ein dreistöckiger, mit Blattgold bedeckter Pavillon, ist eines der berühmtesten und bekanntesten historischen Gebäude in Kyoto und wurde zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe erklärt. Sie werden die goldene Spiegelung des Tempels in der spiegelglatten Wasseroberfläche sehen. Und versuchen Sie, vor diesen Statuen um Glück und Wohlstand zu beten.
Der Fushimi Inari-Schrein mit seinem langen Korridor aus Tausenden von Torii-Schreinen und einem leuchtend roten Tunnel entlang des Bergpfads ist ein beeindruckendes Erlebnis. Sie können durch jedes Tor gehen, das uralte Gefühl spüren und Fotos machen. Die Torii-Schrein-Tore bilden ein Labyrinth, aus dem Sie hoffentlich den Weg hinaus finden.

Nishiki Market ist ein lebhafter Lebensmittelmarkt im Herzen von Kyoto, oft auch „Kyoto’s Kitchen“ genannt. Die schmale überdachte Straße ist gesäumt von Imbissständen, die lokale Spezialitäten, Snacks und traditionelle Zutaten verkaufen, was sie zu einem großartigen Ort macht, um Kyotos Esskultur zu erleben.
Kiyomizu-dera ist einer der berühmtesten buddhistischen Tempel Kyotos, gegründet im Jahr 778. Es ist vor allem für seine große Holzbühne bekannt, die ohne Nägel gebaut wurde und einen Panoramablick über die Stadt bietet. Der Tempel gehört zum UNESCO-Kulturerbe und ist besonders während der Kirschblüten- und Herbstlaubsaison beliebt.
Naras berühmteste Attraktion ist der Nara-Park, ein Naturparadies und Heimat des Nara-Hirsches. Bei einem Spaziergang durch den Park können Sie Herden von Hirschen sehen, die gemächlich im Gras umherlaufen. Sie sind sanftmütig und niedlich und stehen den Menschen nah. Der Todaiji-Tempel ist das größte Holzgebäude der Welt und beherbergt eine prächtige Buddhastatue aus Bronze. Unglaublich, aber für die Erschaffung dieses 15 Meter hohen Buddha aus Bronze wurden fast alle damaligen Bronzereserven Japans benötigt. Der Todai-ji-Tempel ist ein großer Tempel. Wartezeiten über die kostenlosen 30 Minuten hinaus oder Tour-Überstunden über die gewählte Dauer hinaus können je nach Fahrzeugtyp eine zusätzliche Gebühr erfordern: Fahrzeuge bis 13 Sitze kosten JPY 5.000 pro Stunde, 18 Sitze kosten JPY 10.000 pro Stunde und 44 Sitze Busse kosten JPY 15.000 pro Stunde. Very accommodating. We had to adjust the itinerary as it was raining and wanted to spend more time at the market but skip other places. Highly recommended if you don't like guided tours, like to travel in comfort, and want to adjust.
