It was a rare experience to be able to make your own metal shuriken inside a real ninja house. It's quite a full-fledged job, sanding it, but before I knew it, adults were more into it. In the end, I enjoyed practicing throwing Shurikens that I made. It was a good memory of Kyoto.

This was one of the most unique experiences we had in Kyoto. Inside a beautifully designed ninja house, we got to make our own metal shuriken through a real casting process. The staff carefully guided us through every step, from melting the metal to pouring it into the mold and revealing the finished shuriken. Watching it take shape was incredibly exciting, and being able to take home something we made ourselves made it even more special. The atmosphere was immersive, the explanations were easy to follow, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout. The shuriken casting experience was very unique and memorable. It was fascinating to see the iron melt and then harden into the shape of a shuriken. Watching the whole process up close made the experience feel special and different from a regular hands-on activity. I also loved that I could take the shuriken home as a souvenir, which made it an even better memory of my time in Japan.
