Reiseverlauf
Nach dem Museum fahren wir zur Kathedrale von Bagrati, die die Stadt überblickt. Es wurde im 11. Jahrhundert als Symbol des vereinten Georgiens erbaut.
Danach ziehen wir zum Kloster Gelati aus dem 12. Jahrhundert. Es gibt 3 große Kirchen, eine Akademie, ein Grab Davids des Erbauers, einen Glockenturm und Mönchshäuser in der Anlage. Es wurde vom größten georgischen König David The Builder erbaut.
Das Kloster Motsameta ist mit der Geschichte der gefolterten Bruderherren David und Constantine Mkheidze verwandt. Es ist auf einer Klippe gebaut und von 3 Seiten vom Fluss umgeben. Die Natur und die Farben rund um das Kloster sind unglaublich.
Rundgang im Stadtzentrum von Kutaissi
Zuerst fahren wir nach Tskaltubo und besuchen Spring #6, wo der Fortgeschrittener von der sowjetischen Besatzung erzählt. Danach wandern wir zur Quelle #8, die die ungewöhnlichste Architektur unter den Tskaltubo-Quellen hat. Der folgende Ort ist Spring #5. Die nächste Station ist das Sanatorium Gelati, speziell für Kinder gebaut und es gibt einen alten Spielplatz und einen schönen Aussichtspunkt über die innere Konstruktion. Nach "Gelati" laufen wir zum Sanatorium "Medea", gefolgt von "Druschba". Die letzte Sequenz der Tour ist der Bahnhof von Tskaltubo.
Die letzte Aktivität der Tour ist die Weinprobe in der lokalen Weinbar - Bernsteinwein. Dort angekommen erzählt uns der Gastgeber - Irakli von den Weinen und anderen Getränken in seiner Bar. Der Tisch mit Gläsern, Weinen und Snacks ist bereits für uns gedeckt. Wir nehmen Platz und Irakli beginnt, über die Weingeschichte, Kultur und Weinherstellungstechniken in Georgien zu erzählen. Dann fangen wir an, Weine einzeln zu probieren und Essenspaarungen damit zu machen. Sobald alle 4 Weine vorbei sind, beenden wir mit Chacha, einem georgischen Spirituosengetränk, das durch Trauben oder Weindestillation hergestellt wird. Nach dem Abschluss können die Gäste in der Bar bleiben und abends mit ihren Lieblingsweinen weitermachen.

This tour is perfect if you are short on time in Kutaisi as you get to see a bit of everything. The highlight was the winery visit- the food and wine were delicious and I was able to buy some wine. Special shout out to Lasha who was a fantastic guide.
Good tour to discover some highlights in Kutaisi ( the Gelati is closed for the moment for restauration) and a visit to a wineyard ( Baia & family), both our guide Saba and Baia gave us good insights and patiently answered questions. Last but not least: the Georgian spread was amazing!
This tour was fantastic ! We got to learn so much thanks to our guide. The beautiful religious architecture, the history of Gerogia, the interesting spots in Kutaissi, the wine culture... It was very fun and thanks to our guide we felt very safe during the whole time.

Wonderful experience overall. Lasha ensured that we had a good experience and shared the histories of the cathedrals and story of the family winery. Met the lovelyladies from Lithuania, had good laughs, good toasts and great smiles specially during dining and wine tasting. Amazing.

The trip i took with Budget Georgia is really worth the money. We spent a full day discovering historical cathedrals, got to learn about their culture. Went to the winery and what a lovely people there! The authentic Georgian food amazing!! I highly recommend booking your trips with these guys. They have also transfer services to other cities and their prices are really affordable. My guide was Mariami and she is a pleasant person. We had so much fun, laughs and good memories that i will taking home with me♥️
amazing experience. the guide was very knowledgable and we got to know a lot about georgian history. he explained us the processes of wine-making, which added more value to the experience. the dinner was unforgettable and there were even many vegan options available.
