Wir beginnen mit Besuchen bei Familien, die Töpferwaren in den vielen Farbvarianten der Region herstellen. Dabei erhalten Sie nicht nur einen Einblick in die verwendeten Rohstoffe und Techniken, sondern auch in die unterschiedlichen Motivationen, die diese Arbeit inspirieren, und in die Nachfrage der Märkte, die ihre Produktion prägen. Dann erwartet Sie ein wahres Fest für die Sinne, das Alebrijes-Studio, das weltweite Ausstellungen inspirierte und die Schöpfer des Disney-Films „Coco“ war. Wir werden durch jede Phase der Produktion geführt, angefangen bei der Beschaffung des Holzes und der Pigmente aus der Natur bis hin zur aufwendigen Bemalung der fertigen Skulptur. Das Mittagessen ist ein Genuss, mit einer großartigen Auswahl an lokalen Gerichten, die perfekt zubereitet werden. Anschließend geht es weiter zur Brennerei eines der Pioniere des Mezcal-Herstellers in Oaxaca. Es zeichnet sich nicht nur durch die Qualität der hergestellten Spirituosen aus, die gesamte Produktion basiert auch auf einer biologischen und nachhaltigen Produktionsmethode.

Mittagessen : Das Mittagessen ist ein Genuss, mit einer großartigen Auswahl an lokalen Gerichten, die perfekt zubereitet werden. Hier können Sie Moles, Memelas und Frijoles sowie andere typische regionale Gerichte genießen, serviert in einer wunderschön kuratierten, authentischen Atmosphäre.
Mezcal-Brennerei: Wir fahren weiter zur Brennerei eines der wegweisenden Mezcal-Produzenten Oaxacas. Es zeichnet sich nicht nur durch die Qualität der hergestellten Spirituosen aus, die gesamte Produktion basiert auch auf einer biologischen und nachhaltigen Produktionsmethode. My boyfriend and I loved this tour; we wanted to know more about the cultural heritage of Oaxaca, we were served! The visit to the pottery studios run by local families was exceptional: we were able to observe them and learn more about the different processes and motivations when it comes to creating. Lunch was delicious, and the visit to alebrijes studio was magical. After this rich day of sharing and learning, we had the opportunity to taste Mezcal in a distillery, what better way to end such a beautiful day! The tour was very well organized and the guide punctual, very pleasant and full of knowledge!

This was a great tour where we experienced lots of great, local food but also learned so much about the city and Oaxacan culture. The tour was very well paced where we didn't feel uncomfortably full or that there was too much eating. I highly recommend it.

Our awesome guide, Jorge, immersed us in some of the very best of Oaxacan culture! We visited the studios of clay and pottery artisans who are not only masters of their crafts but also part of the origination and history of these art forms! A delicious group lunch followed by a masterclass-level mezcal farm/distillery tour completed a perfect day.

This experience was beyond great. The guide, Jorge was informed, respectful, attentive, and lots of fun. He set a positive vibe for the whole trip. The tour encompassed too many highlights for me to even begin to describe! There were only one couple besides myself, so it was essentially a private tour. Everyone had such a fantastic time. It was like old friends getting together. Jorge chose amazing representatives of different crafts and artisans. This all day tour changed itinerary slightly, due to unexpected closures, but Jorge knew the area and the people so well that it went off seamlessly. I can wholeheartedly endorse this tour for those interested in seeing beautiful areas in and around Oaxaca, and authentic craftsmen and women.

An absolutely incredible visit. For an art lover like me, I couldn't have dreamed of anything better. We travel "to the source" to discover the wealth of know-how and inspiration of the Oaxaca region, where modernity and tradition meet. We had the opportunity to visit families who make ceramics, very typical of Oaxaca; I will never forget the kindness and bright colors of the ceramics made with great love. I loved this moment of exchange. I also loved the visit to the alebrijes workshops and the tasty lunch we enjoyed. All my senses were put to work during this excursion, which I would recommend to anyone who wants to live an authentic experience and discover the beautiful cultural heritage of the region

As a great lover of gastronomy, and in particular Mexican gastronomy, I could not have dreamed of a better tour dedicated to the culinary and artisanal arts of Oaxaca! I appreciated the direct and authentic contact with the locals who made us taste multiple exquisite and typically Mexican flavors! I loved visiting the “manos que ven” ceramic studio with very inspiring and original creations. After an active day, the visit to the distillery with mezcal tasting was absolutely fabulous to end the tour on a good note. I highly recommend Mexico Kan Tours!

It was an absolutely fascinating immersion rich in learning about Mexican culture! I loved this authentic experience where we met different families who make pottery with different colors! We were also able to see the Alebrijes, small figurines from Mexican folklore which inspired the directors of the Disney film “Coco”. My favorite moment remains when we tasted Mezcal in a distillery of a pioneer producer in the city so famous for its agave and Mezcal production. Thank you for this tour which will remain forever engraved in my memory and which made me discover the beauty of Oaxaca, through its culture and its people.

What can I say other than: Best. Trip. Ever. I have been dreaming of coming to Oaxaca for quite a while now and it has definitely not disappointed! My wife and I have fallen in love with this beautiful region of Mexico and this tour made the trip even extra special! The Mezcal distillery was absolutely fascinating, as a Mezcal enthusiast I was in heaven! Totally enjoyed the authentic Zapotec cuisine as well, everything was cooked to perfection!
