Highly recommend making this tour PRIVATE. You get the flexibility and can do the Vilnius to Riga in approx 8 hours rather than 12 hours. I suggest spending more time in Kaunas and less at the Hill of Crosses and Rundale Palace. The day was fabulous and Traveller Tours provided the fabulous Laura to take me from Vilnius to Riga. She was incredible with history and the culture of Lithuania (where she is from) and introduced great information about Latvia when we crossed the border. Laura is warm, personable and cared about making my experience extra special.
Great way to see the area and travel from city to city. The places selected to visit on the way were interesting and the information provided helped in the understanding of the history
This is a fun way to travel between Riga and Vilnius. Our guide, Laura, was so much fun and had so much to tell us about the history of the sites. This is also a great way to experience more of Latvia and Lithuania outside of their capitals.
Six of us traveled from Riga to Vilnius and took Traveller's private guided tour. Our tour guide was Laura, a girl from Vilnius. Her guidance and introduction to the attractions along the way left a deep impression in our minds, adding many surprises and memories to this trip!
Traveller Tours’ Riga to Vilnius van tour was a fascinating way too see some of Latvia and Lithuania. From the moment our five person group assembled, Laura, our driver/guide set the pace for a very memorable day. We were already talking comfortably among ourselves within 20 minutes, as we quickly cleared the Riga suburbs. Laura was a wealth of knowledge about the two countries and about the areas we were passing through. Most of the trip was along a two lane highway through to me surprisingly flat farm country, passing through very few villages and towns. There were stops at four separate sites - varied, interesting, and well-spaced. Also a lunch stop at an interesting restaurant. The trip was scheduled for 12 hours, but Laura let us know early on that the duration would be closer to 11.
Travelers tours are a must do city to city where you cover many more stops than a simple bus trip. Our guide Laura was very energetic and informative. She made the entire trip so good.
This tour was the highlight of my Baltic trip! This tour is an amazing way to explore the countryside + the history of the places that we visit. Without doubt, this is one of the best ways to travel throughout the Baltics! If you are lucky enough , you are going to get the one and only Laura! As your guide! She is amazing, energetic, knowledgeable and really good with people! She conducts herself with such a professionalism but at the same time she is so funny and approachable! I do highly, truly, and utterly recommend this tour
I needed to travel from Riga to Vilnius, but instead of just taking the bus, I decided to take this tour. Laura did not disappoint, with her enthusiastic description of sites and the related historic background. I left with memories of a great trip, new friends, and a deeper understanding of the Baltic region and its people!
A fairytale city, an enchanting and evocative historic center in medieval Gothic style with many bars where you can spend the evening. In the more modern part you can admire art nouveau buildings. Across the large river is a large and modern library from which you can enjoy a beautiful view of the city. Nice parks, theaters and some good restaurants. Worth visiting is Mesa Park just outside the city.
Booking this tour was hands down the best decision for traveling from Riga to Vilnius. Our guide Laura was amazing, knowledgeable and just a lovely and funny person. She really made the 11+ hours fly by. The stops along the way were chosen well, and Laura gave us lots of background info on the individual stops but then we also had time to just explore a little. The lunch stop was very yummy and a great location and the fact that she ordered our chosen food ahead saved us time. We travelled as a family of 3 and really can't recommend this tour enough (even our teenager had a great time :)
