Kolosseum Arena & Forum Romanum : Führung in kleiner Gruppe (max. 10 Personen)

Beschreibung

Semi private tour with Serena was excellent. She was so knowledgeable and had great illustrations to help us compare the current and past structures. She gave us so much history and so many details to look for that we would have missed without such an experienced guide. She did her best to keep us out of the heat by speaking with us in the shade and then giving us as much time as we needed to observe the sites. She happily answered all our questions.
Michaela was great. The messages I was sent from vital had the wrong meet up site. Because of incorrect address I was sent several times via text and email, we could not find our group which cause unneeded stress. The guide called and gave correct meeting spot, waited for us and all was good. I would have give five stars except for this. Our guide Michela was great and would highly recommend her but question the apps information
Michela was fantastic! We started in the forum before heading over to the colosseum. We got so much information during our tour and got to see everything on our must see list for this tour. My kids were able to participate and enjoy the experience as well.
Our guide was very knowledgable about both the region and it's history. He was also very personable, making the whole thing more like a conversation. We also had a rare treat of getting a private tour since the rest of the group we were assigned to had cancelled. There was one wrinkle in the whole thing. We'd originally signed up for an underground tour but were later contacted when the tour company couldn't secure the underground tickets. By then it was too late for us to go with a different company. Fortunately, they refunded the extra cost for the different tour type, but we still lost out on that experience.
This was truly a small group tour- only 6 of us. The guide was an experienced archeologist and his expertise and knowledge of all things in the area was impressive.
Our guide was incredibly personable and definitely knew which direction to guide and which entrance to use, but I don’t think her historical knowledge stacked up. I’ll say that she definitely had some interesting small stories but there wasn’t a good explanation of the overarching history of the sites. Was she helpful? Absolutely. I was just expecting a little bit more history-telling for the price paid. It was also incredibly hot and I was a single traveler placed with a group of five traveling together (that’s not a problem — I’m just saying she may have been trying to gauge their interest). I’ll end by saying that I definitely had a much more pleasurable experience by using this tour; I just don’t know if the price reflects the actual value.
We just completed our fully custom “Rome in a Day” organized by City Eyes. They picked us up at the port in two vans, as we were 9 people and whisked us on our way to Rome. The goal was to try to get to all the main sites as we were only here for a day on a cruise stop. Our driver Tiziano and Tour Guide Gianluca navigated the city with ease. We were able to visit the Basilica Square, Colosseum(inside access), Trevi Fountain(ticketed access), Spanish Steps, Pantheon Square, Piazza Navona, and Aventine Hill(Garden). We also had time for a stop for lunch at a great Pizza Bakery and Gelato later. A lot to do in a day, but we got it all done thanks to City Eyes, Tiziano and Gianluca. This also worked out great because we were two families with 5 kids 12 and under. The only way you can survive with children. I would encourage anyone trying to navigate Rome in a day to hire a guide and City Eyes helped get that done for us. Friendly people. Knowledgeable guides. Don’t pass up a chance to see one of the great ancient cities in the world.
Thank you for trusting CityEyes with your one day in Rome. It is a real compliment to know the experience worked so well for both families, and we’ll pass your words to Tiziano and Gianluca. Grazie, e arrivederci! Tiziano, Gianluca, and the CityEyes Team
Lena was very informative and patient. We had six people in our group and it was amazing. The Forum was the highlight for us. We really appreciated her knowledge and comparisons of before and after. Highly recommended.
Thank you for choosing CityEyes and for recommending Lena. We hope your group keeps a wonderful memory of Ancient Rome. Grazie! Lena, and the CityEyes Team
Mirta was the best! This was actually my third time doing a tour of the Colosseum (I keep taking different friends lol) and it was the best one. The Forum tour was especially good as she gave us so much info other tours didn’t. Even though we were in the middle of a heat wave, she made sure to keep us as cool and comfortable as possible. Very funny and informative, and having a small group was perfect. Definitely book with this company as they are actually authorized tour guides with the Colosseum and can go with you inside!
A third Colosseum tour and the best one: that is a compliment we will remember. Thank you for choosing CityEyes and for recommending Mirta so warmly. Grazie! Mirta, and the CityEyes Team
Valeria was a very informative guide, extremely knowledgeable and made the tour very interesting. Without her everything would not have meant half as much. The whole tour ran on time and it was easy to find the meeting place. Comfort breaks were offered. Great value for trip.
“Without her everything would not have meant half as much” is a compliment that stays with us. Thank you for choosing CityEyes and for sharing such generous words about Valeria. Grazie! Valeria, and the CityEyes Team
