Tomaso and his daughter were great. They said they would provide recipes, but apparently forgot. The food was tasty and we hope to try making it again at home.
The cooking class was a favorite experience! We did have a bit trouble finding the location because the address given was not clear, then we found a different address on Viator so arrived a little late. Tiziana, the chef, and her husband Roberto were so welcoming having us in their home. Tiziana won an award in Italy in 2023 for the best pesto! We made Tagliatelle, homemade pasta, which we topped with her amazing pesto, and tiramisu. It was all so delicious. Tiziana used Google Translate to explain things to us, and Roberto spoke more English and shared much about his hometown of Genoa. We all “broke bread” together in their lovely dining room, with some wine. We even had a surprise visit when we were finishing from Tiziana’s adult son who joined us at the table. They were all delightful, and I highly recommend Tiziana.
We had a lovely evening. The setting was so relaxing and our host/chef was a delight. The three dishes we made were outstanding and we left feeling like we had a taste of the authentic Genoa.
Should you find yourself in Genoa, please enjoy an amazine culinary experience with hosts, Tiziana and Roberto. My son, daughter and I shared the evening learning to make tiramisu, ravioli pasta and sailor's biscuit. Tiziana and Roberto were warm and welcoming, and made us feel at home in theirs. Not only did we enjoy the food we prepared, but were also treated to delicious wine, coffee, and focaccia bread, as well as Tiziana's signature pesto sauce, which will certainly have a great run at the Pesto World Championships this year (she has our vote!). Even with a very slight language barrier, the conversation flowed and new friendships were formed (food is a universal language, after all). We cannot recommend this experience enough to those who enjoy delicious food, great company, and fine Italian culture. Thank you Tiziana and Roberto!
Tiziana and Roberto welcomed us into their home and we’re some of the kindest people we have ever met. Tiziana taught us to make traditional ravioli using the pasta machine that her mother taught her on when she was young. The food was incredible and so was the conversation. The conversation got so good we both whipped out Google Translate so we could thoroughly explain to each other. Josie and I had never done this before but it was very easy and entertaining. We are on a 10 day Mediterranean cruise and this adventure was the best highlight so far! Thank you Tiziana and Roberto!
Tizana and Roberto were warm and welcoming from the first moment we net them. Learning and cooking alongside Tizana was enlightening, fun and an experience my husband and I will remember. A wonderful experience that we highly recommend!!
Cooking and eating with Tiziana and her husband Roberto was like being reunited with Italian family members! They are so friendly and Tiziana is a wonderful cook. We enjoyed learning how to make pasta and the rose cake with her. The food was delicious and the company very enjoyable. Nice way to spend an afternoon in Genoa!
We had a wonderful time with Tiziana and husband at their beautiful home in Genoa. They made the day so much fun from the second we stepped into their house. While we had some "broken" Italian, we were able to communicate with them via Google Translate and work on our Italian. The food we cooked was so amazing and very traditional which was so much fun! This intimate cooking class was so much better than any larger group cooking class we have ever done. We were able to share stories and learn about each other as well as they helped us plan our next stop of our trip!
There are not enough words to explain how grateful we are for Andrea & his family!! Thank you for opening your home, your kitchen & your hearts to us for a day while in Genova. We didn’t want to leave!! We loved learning how to make focaccia bread & eating it!! The BEST pesto I’ve ever eaten in my life!! Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts!!
Tiziana was the greatest Italian chez ever, my daughter and I had the most awesome experience ever, not only we teach us how to prepare pasta, she opened the doors to her house, family, memories, and that is priceless. Gratzie mile !!!
