Kochkurs mit Köchin Najla

Beschreibung

An unforgettable moment… between the warm welcome, the authenticity of the experience, and the incomparable culinary flavors, I highly recommend this experience in the company of this host.
Najla was a fantastic instructor and we had a delicious meal!
Our group of 5 friends had a fabulous experience with Chef Najla! Learned much about local food/spices, prepared delicious lunch, enjoyed meeting new friends. 5 Stars!!!
A very good time spent with Naljae to prepare 2 different tagines and some Moroccan starters. The course starts with a mint tea coupled with an explanation on how to make it in the proper way. Najlae is full of good advice in cooking as for the city of Marrakech!
Our guide Brahim the best!! Attentive to everyone, made us feel at home, thank you to the whole team for the amazing experience!!! See you next time!
We were very friendly and enthusiastically received by Najlae in her own traditional family home. First there was an explanation of how to make a real mint tea. Then prepared the Taijines + vegetables. Everything explained to us with a lot of humor and conviviality. We were a large group, 16 men, but Najlae took extensive time for everything. All in all a wonderful evening and learned a lot about Moroccan cuisine, using herbs and also some about Moroccan culture and how certain things are viewed. Very cozy, informative and tasty! Definitely recommended!
We had a great tajine cooking workshop with a very friendly and talkative host. I learned a lot about the Marroco kitchen and cooking. She also learned new things about how to use spices. We first had a tea ceremony and she gave tips about argan oil, how to make a bargain at the souks, etc, etc. So not only cooking but also about tge Marroko way of living. At the end we all got the recipes of what we made.
It was an extraordinary morning. The chef is wonderful, she explains everything to you wonderfully, she is super friendly and close, and with a lot of knowledge. We went shopping, we cooked, we ate everything delicious. Her house is beautiful. A 10, I recommend it to everyone!
Unfortunately the class was not as described. Chef Naj is lovely and knowledgeable about all things Moroccan but we spent the first hour talking only about tea…no cooking. We didn’t visit the market and we only cooked one course (there was 2 tagines and a few side dishes) no starter or dessert. We felt like she kept talking to drag the course out to the advertised 4 hours because really all we did could have been done in 2 hours. Food was delicious but we were hungry by the time we got back to the hotel. Perhaps Ramadan was a factor but then the class advert should have been amended to reflect that.
Thank you Ashley for your feedback. I’m glad to hear that you enjoyed the food and appreciated my knowledge about Moroccan culture. Just to clarify a few points for future guests: the afternoon class description on the platform mentions that there is no market visit. Guests who would like to visit the market usually book the morning class instead. Regarding the menu, the experience is described as preparing Moroccan appetizers and main dishes (usually tagines). Dessert is not included in the menu description on the listing. During the class, I also like to share information about Moroccan tea, culture, and traditions, as many guests ask many questions and enjoy learning more about the country while cooking. This sometimes makes the experience more relaxed and conversational, which many participants appreciate. In more than 8 years of hosting this experience, this is the first time I have received feedback like this, but I truly appreciate you sharing your perspective. Thank you again for joining the class and for your kind words about the food. I wish you a wonderful rest of your trip in Morocco
Patient chef with good explanations in English or French. Good meal and welcome with a small training on tea.
