Great and unique experience, more like visiting an aunt and uncle in their home when visiting Sousse than a traditional tour. Very knowledgeable and couldn't do enough to make you feel at home.
A lovely day. Great prior communication. Picked up on time at our hotel. Drove to the Sousse Medina, great conversation along the way. Walked around the medina, key spots pointed out. Then got into detail on today’s menu and what to buy. Nicknacks were purchased along the way to the food market and then it got serious. Menu totally changed from initial focus as we found some excellent fresh fish. All were happy at this 180 as eat what is good, local and in season. Back in the car. Olives, bread and pasta picked up and then to the house. Stunning new house and garden. Met his wife, some snacks and libation and on with the chef aprons and hats and a cooking’ we went. 3 hours of prepping and mixing and cooking and voila a 4 course meal of the most exotic and exciting dishes were produced. Firstly, amazing, secondly, great value, but more importantly, I think friends for life. A lovely couple who we would love in our house. Me Casa Es Tu Casa. Thank you so much for a perfect and memorable birthday event for my wife.
It was a really nice half a day, going through the markets, cooking and eating. A nice experience to visit Tunisia in a different way.
An adorable couple sharing their secrets for shopping and cooking. A moment of friendliness that leaves us with wonderful memories. There were two of us, and another group of two was with us (be careful not to expect to be just two). Thank you for everything to Nabil and his wife. 🤩
Myself and my husband Adam had a lovely experience with Nabil and his wife Nefisah. Nabil picked us up from our hotel which was really appreciated instead of trying to locate him somewhere unfamiliar to us. We went around the local market to gather some ingredients. It was very enjoyable going with a local who knew the area. We enjoyed a welcome breakfast when we arrived to their home (note to self, don't eat so much breakfast next time) We were made to feel very welcome including from their cat Luna and their daughter. We made couscous, chicken, vegetables, Brik (so good!) and some dessert. It was a really lovely hands on experience, the best way to learn about local culture and traditions. You don't need language when cooking is involved, it just some how brings everyone together. We enjoyed our tea and desserts outside in the sunshine before Nabil dropped us home around 2pm. Their home was beautiful. I'd recommend anyone to do this experience to get a real life experience, meet with locals and learn the Tunisian way of life.
I attended this cooking class with 2 teenagers and we had an absolutely great day. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with rare kindness and warmth. Our guests know immediately how to put at ease and really make them feel at home, in a simple and authentic atmosphere. Visiting the medina was a real plus: I discovered beautiful places, off the classic paths, that I would never have found alone. A privileged moment, rich in exchanges and discoveries. As for the kitchen, Nisa is an excellent cook. The meal was simply delicious, more than generous and perfectly controlled. We shared a real feast, in a friendly and warm atmosphere. I was particularly touched by the quality of the welcome throughout the day.
Very good exchange with the family. Thank you for the warm welcome of the couple and their kindness! I left with lots of recipes and new culinary knowledge. Really great!
We had the best time with Nabil and his lovely wife and daughter. Nabil was great at answering all of our questions about the food, the local area and Tunisia. Nabil’s home is beautiful and I would highly recommend this cooking class.
What a beautiful day with our guests, to discuss, discover, taste and live Tunisia. We recommend this activity!
We had such a wonderfuk time cooking and shopping together. We have done lots of cooking classes before and you get really involved and make so many liveky dishes, it is also a very personal experience. Thank you for making us feel so at home, this was the highlight of our Tunisian trip.
