Reiseverlauf

This tour exceeded all expectations. Yes the countryside was beautiful and the wine and wineries were outstanding. The visit to the beautiful town of Greve for an Espresso and gelato was a highlight as well. However, just as important were our guides Daniele and Antonio. They both offered a very personalized experience and made you feel like you have known them for years. In short, they were more like friends than tour guides. Their knowledge of the area and its history were incredible. This tour simply would not have been the same without them!
Fantastic wine tour, very informative, delicious wine and food, Leo was a great guide!
This was exactly as we had hoped. We saw great countryside as we drove on a bus with a/c. The three winery's were all fun. Delicious wine at all of them. Both the tour guide and the bus driver were fabulous. Highly recommend if you enjoy wine!!
We did the full day experience. Everything we tasted and drank was amazing! Our tour guide, Jason, was the perfect guide: friendly and knowledgeable. We bought our favorites and shipped them back to the USA. All of the wineries were very helpful in doing so. Would recommend this to anyone who loves wine, good food, or pretty views!
Great wineries, with wonderful hosts. Beautiful countryside scenery along the route. Excellent tour guides!
We had a wonderful time on our tour! Raf and Antonio were great guides. The group was the perfect size and the wineries we visited were beautiful. I felt like we spent enough time at each place as well. Great experience and would recommend!
I do not recommend this tour. My friend, myself, and two others were part of a group of about 16 people. The tour was scheduled to begin at 8:45 a.m., and we arrived at 8:43 a.m. However, the tour operators did not allow anyone onto the bus until 9:00 a.m., leaving us standing outside in nearly 100-degree heat. The tour started off well, and the wine itself was good. However, during one stop in a small town, we were given time to shop. While making a purchase at a local store, there were payment/connectivity issues that delayed us. We apologized to the tour operators and explained the situation, and they told us it was okay. Unfortunately, after that moment, the tone of the tour changed. For the rest of the trip, we felt singled out and repeatedly reminded not to be late, even though other guests were also late at different stops because they were taking pictures or shopping. We felt like we were being watched or followed, almost as if we had a chaperone, which made the experience uncomfortable and took away from our ability to enjoy the tour or take photos. At the final stop, we were told there was only one restroom. While I was waiting in line to use it, one of the tour operators said, “You’re the last one again,” even though I was not. I explained that I was waiting to use the restroom, especially because we had been told there would be a 40-minute drive back. I felt rushed and uncomfortable, to the point that I did not even feel comfortable enough to use the restroom. To make matters worse, we arrived back around 5:00 p.m., which was about 30 minutes earlier than the scheduled end time. That made the rushing feel completely unnecessary. My basic need to use the restroom was dismissed just so the tour could end early. The wine and scenery may have been nice, but the way we were treated ruined the experience. When you are on vacation, you want to feel welcomed, relaxed, and respected. This tour did not provide that, and it was not worth it.
Hello Helane, Thank you for sharing your personal impression. We take all guest feedback seriously, but we must respectfully clarify the facts of this tour. Our official tour details, company policies, and onboard vehicle GPS tracking show a very different reality from the timeline you described. Regarding the Schedule: As explicitly stated in our tour details, and confirmed on all the tickets, 8:45 AM is the check-in time, and 9:00 AM is the sharp departure time. With an 8-hour duration, the tour is scheduled to return around 5:00 PM. Furthermore, our vehicle's onboard GPS log proves unequivocally that the tour arrived back at the starting point at 5:21 PM. The tour did not end early, and our guide was certainly not rushing anyone to go home. Naturally, sticking to the scheduled return time is essential, not because our guide is in a hurry to go home, but because we cannot know the personal plans or commitments of all the participants, who may have other appointments after the tour. Regarding the Delays: At the first stop, your group was 20 minutes late returning to the bus. While we understand you experienced a payment issue at a local store, this delay caused significant frustration among the other 12 guests who had returned on time. Far from singling you out, our guide actually defended your group to the rest of the bus, politely asking them for patience and suggesting you might have run into a small issue. Regarding the Final Stop: When the wine tasting concluded, our guide explicitly announced to the group that (if needed) it was time to use the restrooms before the 30-minute drive back. While the other guests followed this advice, your group chose to remain seated to continue drinking wine. Your group only headed to the restrooms together after all the other 12 passengers were already fully boarded and waiting on the bus. When our guide came to look for you, he politely informed you that the rest of the group was waiting. On a group tour (even if it is a small group), punctuality is a matter of mutual respect. Our guide was not "chaperoning" or rushing you for personal convenience; he was simply enforcing our core company policy: protecting the time, experience, and comfort of all paying guests on board equally. We completely agree with your statement that "when you are on vacation, you want to feel welcomed, relaxed, and respected." However, the other 12 participants on board deserved that exact same respect, instead of having their valuable vacation time disrupted by having to wait for your group's convenience on two separate occasions. We stand firmly behind our guide’s professionalism and patience throughout this day. Naturally, we remain at your complete disposal should you require any further discussion or clarification. Best regards, Saverio
Leo was the best! Great wine and food!
Leo was an awesome guide and the tour was so much fun. The lunch was tasty and the amount of wine was a good value for what we paid.
This was a great wine tour! Leo (our guide/bus driver) provided a lot of information about Florence, Tuscany, and wine and was entertaining. All three wineries were beautiful and had fantastic wine. The views during the drives were stunning.
