Nachdem wir unsere Reisenden am Zócalo abgeholt haben, machen wir Halt auf dem Platz der drei Kulturen. Ein großartiger Ort, der die Identität von Mexiko-Stadt architektonisch zusammenfasst. Wir werden durch die antiken Ruinen des wichtigsten Handelsgebietes Mesoamerikas aus dem 16. Wir besuchen die Santiago-Kirche, in der die erste indigene Person nach dem Erscheinen der Jungfrau von Guadalupe, San Diego, getauft wurde. Ebenso werden wir das Mehrfamilienhauswerk des Architekten Mario Pani kennen. Sie stellen die erste Phase der Modernisierung von Mexiko-Stadt in den 50er Jahren dar, die an wichtigen gesellschaftspolitischen Bewegungen wie der 68er-Bewegung für die Ankunft der Olympischen Spiele in Mexiko-Stadt beteiligt war.
Anschließend besuchen wir den wichtigsten katholischen Tempel der Welt nach dem Vatikan, die Basilika von Guadalupe. Nach den Worten von Papst Johannes Paul II. Ist es auch als "Atrium Amerikas" bekannt. Wir werden den Tepeyac-Hügel besteigen, auf dem ursprünglich die Jungfrau von Guadalupe erschien.
