Eine der ältesten Moscheen Melakas, die 1748 erbaut wurde, ist bekannt für ihre einzigartige Mischung aus Sumatran, Chinesisch, Hindu und Malaiischer Architektur.
Erbaut im Jahr 1646, ist der älteste funktionierende Chinesische Tempel in Malaysia, bekannt für seine exquisite Architektur und Widmung an die drei Lehrsysteme Buddhismus, Konfuzianismus und Taoismus.

An diesem Stopp genießen wir lokale Spezialitäten – traditionellen Toast und ein erfrischendes Dessert, um das Erlebnis abzurunden.
Heeren Street, auch bekannt als Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock, ist eine der elegantesten Kulturerbe von Melaka, gesäumt von wunderschön erhaltenen Peranakan Stadthäusern. Im Rahmen der Wanderung machen wir hier einen kulturellen Halt, um mehr über das Baba Nyonya Kulturerbe zu erfahren – und die einzigartige Mischung aus Chinesischen und malaiischen Traditionen zu erkunden, die die Peranakan-Kultur geprägt haben, von ihrer Architektur und ihrem Lebensstil bis hin zu ihren reichen Bräuchen und Handwerkskunst.
Kein Ausflug nach Melaka ist komplett, ohne sein berühmtestes Gericht zu probieren – die Hainanesischen Hühnerreisbällchen. Im Gegensatz zum üblichen Hühnerreis wird hier der duftende Reis von Hand zu mundgerechten Kugeln gerollt und mit zartem pochiertem Huhn, Chilisauce und Sojadressing serviert. Diese lokale Spezialität ist ein Muss, das die einzigartige Esskultur Melakas repräsentiert.
An diesem Stopp gönnen wir uns eine süße Leckerei, die von Einheimischen geliebt wird – traditionelles Cendol mit reichhaltigem Gula Melaka Sirup. Als Ergänzung dazu probieren wir eine Vielzahl farbenfroher Nyonya kuih, mundgerechte Peranakan-Köstlichkeiten aus Kokosmilch, Pandan und glutenhaltigem Reis, die einen echten Geschmack von Melakas Kulturerbe bieten. Mimi was our food and culture tour guide and she was excellent! Mimi was very engaging and knowledgeable, she kept the kids' attention throughout the whole tour. We had a great time exploring Melaka old town and eating our way through all the local delicacies. She brought us to hidden alleyways and beautiful traditional peranakan houses which we would not have known if we had not join the tour. Love the craft activity that we could bring home as souvenir. Highly recommend!
