Jeder Stopp für die Verkostung von Lebensmitteln wurde nicht nur aufgrund seiner Qualität des Essens ausgewählt, sondern auch aufgrund seiner Entfaltungsgeschichte, der Leidenschaft seiner Menschen und seiner Bedeutung für die lokale Gemeinschaft. Reiseverlauf
Nach dem Treffen mit unserem Führer befindet sich der erste Essensstopp an einem Ort im Zentrum des historischen Zentrums von Korfu-Stadt, der "der Heilige" genannt wird, wo wir einen typischen griechischen Brunch veranstalten. Der Brunch umfasst die traditionelle griechische Käsepastete, Spinatpastete, Puddingcremetorte, Ingwerbier, Baklava und dann den berühmten griechischen Joghurt.
Unser zweiter Essensstopp wird unseren Besuchern die lokalen Kumquat-Früchte vorstellen. Wir werden den Kumquat-Likör, die griechischen Köstlichkeiten mit Kumquat-Geschmack und das "Mandolato" probieren, eine Korfiot-Süßigkeit aus Nougat.
Das einzige traditionelle Milchgeschäft in Korfu-Stadt seit 1950, in dem Sie die Gelegenheit haben, die berühmte frische Butter aus Korfiot zu probieren, die sie jeden Tag herstellen, einen Pudding und Galaktoboureko (Sahnetorte).
Bei diesem Stopp haben wir die Möglichkeit, unseren Besuchern die ersten Zutaten und Gewürze des korfiotischen Essens vorzustellen und eine Olivenölverkostung zu genießen, da Olivenöl jahrhundertelang das Haupteinkommen Korfus war. Der Ladenbesitzer gibt uns Tipps und einige geheime Ratschläge zum Kochen einiger der berühmten griechischen Speisen.
Unsere Tour würde in einem Restaurant enden, in dem wir ein Mittag- / Abendessen haben. Wir werden das lokale traditionelle Essen von Pastitsada und Sofrito probieren. Unsere Kunden probieren Ouzo oder Wein und können sich am Ende der Tour bei einer Mahlzeit entspannen.

We had a wonderful evening with our guide Elektra on the walking food tour in Corfu town. We learnt about the history of Corfu while we wandered through the beautiful old town. We stopped to sample food along the way, delicious pastries, meats and cheeses, and sweets before having a meal in a taverna. Elektra was so knowledgeable and great fun to be with. I highly recommended this tour.
I cannot recommend this tour enough! My family of 4 booked this tour on a Monday and were greeted by our tour guide, Electra. Turns out, we were the only ones on the tour! Electra was wonderful! She walked us through town and told us so many interesting things about Corfu and fed us fantastic food! You could tell she loves Corfu and loves giving these tours. It was a great day! We book food tours on almost all of our trips, so we have done many of them. We all agreed that this was our favorite one!
Electra was our guide, she was bubbly, confident, knowledgeable and informative about Corfu and the food tour was really well organised, a great variety of food to taste and a perfect number of people!

Such an amazing time with Elektra on this food tour! We were on a Disney cruise and fortunately booked this cruise directly with the operator. The stops were amazing, all very authentic and places we would have likely chosen on our own. Baklava and pastries, a local butter on a roll that was mind blowing, local drinks, and for 'lunch' a mix of typical dishes from Corfu including an amazing pasta, and a seabass. Highly recommended!

Our guide was with Alice and she was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! So knowledgeable, friendly.. could not have asked for more All the food was incredible. A really good selection. Only note is that you eat a lot before the main meal at the end and so you will need a bag for the spare food! If I could make one alteration to it, it would be to have some of the sweet treats at the end. Do not eat before this tour!

Electra was an exceptional food tour guide. Her passion and knowledge for Corfu were so admirable! We had a brilliant guide, Alice, who showed us and taught us so much over one evening- incredibly impressive. The food is really tasty and there is a lot of it! We couldn't do justice to the final meal, thankfully one of the people on the trip was able to polish most of it off. We joined the tour on our first evening in Corfu and it helped with the rest of the trip so much as we knew what we liked and where we wanted to go. Also gave us good orientation for the city and an overview of the history. Alice also sent us a little guide via WhatsApp of good restaurants and places to buy things.
