It was a lot of fun trying on a summer kimono and taking photos. First, the owner let me choose the kimono I wanted to wear, and she helped me put it on. It didn’t take very long, and she quickly worked with the special belt, creating a beautiful knot on my back. Later, we moved to a different room where I took many photos. What made this activity unique was that I took the photos by myself. If I had been with friends, it might have been even more fun. Since I was alone, I felt a little awkward posing and taking pictures at first, but I gradually got used to it. The owner also checked in frequently to see if I was doing okay. In the end, I had a great time and got many wonderful photos to share with my friends.
First, I chose 4 my favorite kimonos out of many ones. They were very nice kimonos and it took me a long time to choose them. And then she chose the right "obi" for each kimono. She dressed me up very quickly and well. Her dressing skills are excellent. There were many kinds of small objects and I enjoyed talking pictures by myself. I was able to have an experience in a different world than my usual self. I enjoyed feeling like a mondel ♪ Thank you very much !
It was an absolutely wonderful experience! I was so excited to see such a wide variety of kimonos and props to choose from. Since Shukkeien Garden is nearby, it would also be a great idea to take some photos there. You can enjoy choosing your own yukata, or get some wonderful advice from the lovely owner. Highly recommended!
Ms. Sato was such a kind and generous host, so it was easy to feel comfortable and at ease. There were many different kimono and Yukata to choose from as well as different hair accessories and other items, so I think there was something to suit everyone’s tastes. During other kimono rentals, I have felt a bit nervous and embarrassed about my appearance, but Ms. Sato made me feel at ease. Being able to take photos freely in the studio was a great option since I was alone and oftentimes it is hard to take photos by myself. The photo quality in the studio was also wonderful, so I went home with many great photos of the experience!
There are various types of Kimonos and Yugata ( summer type). After all the settings with Kimono and hairstyles ( optional), then you’ll get 15 minutes to take photos by yourself. It’s fun and also provides lots of tools such as the paper umbrellas and masks which you might see during the summer festivals near the shrines. You could also go out to the Japanese garden near hear with the beautiful Kimono. Highly recommended.
There were a wide variety of yukata, kimonos and small items to choose from, which was fun. The dressing up was very nice and they finished it very beautifully while having fun talking. It was my first time to take self-photos, but I was able to take them comfortably at the right time. There were also a lot of small items for shooting, and it was a lot of fun to choose them and think of poses! The resulting photos are so beautiful that you can get them right away via airdrop, and I felt it was great to be able to upload about the experience on social media on the day. Thank you so much for your valuable experience 😊
The kimono staff and owner were incredibly kind and patient while I was choosing my kimono. They gave me lots of helpful advice and dressed me beautifully with great skill and attention to detail. I also had 15 minutes to take photos in their private studio, which gave me plenty of time to relax and try different poses. I actually preferred this experience to having photos taken by a professional photographer because I could enjoy the moment at my own pace. They have a hairstylist available at all times, and they also offer makeup services. If you would like your makeup done, be sure to make a reservation in advance. The studio is just a two-minute walk from Shukkeien, Hiroshima’s beautiful Japanese garden. Next time, I’d love to take photos there as well. The prices are very reasonable, and they have a wonderful selection of kimonos and accessories. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable kimono experience in Hiroshima.
We had an amazing time!! The kimonos fit very good and were clean. We had plenty of time to take lots of pictures . We recommend anyone to go and try it! Thanks so much.
