Von unserem Treffpunkt im Norrsken House Kigali starten wir unseren Spaziergang in Richtung Belgisches Friedenstruppendenkmal. Unterwegs bekommen Sie ein Gefühl für Kigalis saubere, gut geplante Straßen und moderne Architektur. Vorbei an lebhaften Gewerbegebieten, kleinen Geschäften und dem Stadtalltag, der sich um uns herum entfaltet.
Am belgischen Friedenswächterdenkmal werden wir innehalten, um über die Geschichte der zehn belgischen Soldaten nachzudenken, die zu Beginn des Völkermords an den Tutsi 1994 getötet wurden. Auf dem Gelände befinden sich ein kleines Museum und das erhaltene Gebäude mit Aufschriften, in dem sie ihren letzten Stand gehalten haben.
Biryogo hat viel zu bieten, und wir werden da sein, um alles aufzunehmen! Wir spazieren durch seine pulsierende autofreie Zone, wo sich Einheimische in Teeläden im Freien versammeln, der Duft von gegrillten Brochettes die Luft erfüllt und die Straßen voller Leben sind. Auf unserer Erkundungstour durchqueren wir wunderschöne Straßenkunst , ein Schaufenster der Kreativität und Kultur Kigalis. Machen Sie einen Spaziergang auf dem Imbuga City Walk, einer belebten Fußgängerzone im Herzen von Kigali. Really enjoyed this 3 hour walking tour of Kigali. It was a great way to get familiar with the city and learn more about Rwanda's history and culture. Our guide, Libère, was very friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to answer questions. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Kigali for the first time.

What was written as a three hour tour was worth 10 in knowledge and education. Walking around Kigali among the locals, learning local customs and history was very rewarding. My tour guide Jerry was excellent and explained everything in great detail. I would recommend this tour. At first I was hesitant to go but it turned out to be one of my favorite tours while in Rwanda.

We recently joined the city walking tour. We started at 09.30 and our guide Jerry was there waiting for us at the arranged spot. We set off on a 3 hour exploration that covered the Camp Kigali Belgian Memorial, a women's co-operative, an interesting neighbourhood where a lot of Muslims live, some street art and a spot with a lot of restaurants for lunch at the end. Jerry was an informative and engaging guide. I liked the tour.

This city tour was fantastic! Jerry was extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to chat with. If you’re interested in a more comprehensive experience, including the genocide museum, I’d suggest their driving tour. There’s so much to see, but you can only explore so much on foot in a few hours! It’s definitely worth it if you’re short on time and want a quick overview of Kigali.
