Backwoods Island camping
Used the canoe for backwoods camping on an island. Great service, but the canoe doesn't have a keel, so is a bit hard to control in waves and wind, but it was comfortable and roomy.

Diese Reise eignet sich am besten für Familien mit Kindern unter 10 Jahren, oder Leute, die ein knappes Zeitbudget haben, oder Leute, die ein Abenteuer mit weniger Engagement für Aktivitäten wünschen. Dies ist ein vollständig geführtes 2-tägiges Backcountry Kanu Abenteuer. Es ist keine Erfahrung notwendig, minimal bis keine Portierung, für jeden geeignet. Diese Reise ist kein Backcountry-Slog - unser Hauptaugenmerk liegt auf der Zeit im Camp, also ist dies besonders perfekt für junge Familien oder Leute, die nur begrenzte Zeit haben und sich entspannen möchten. Ich empfehle diese Reise sehr, wenn Sie kleine Kinder haben! Unsere Keji Kanutour beginnt mit einem Rendezvous an unserem Hauptquartier in Jake's Landing. Wir packen Ihre Sachen in unsere wasserdichten Sachen, essen schnell zu Mittag (wir stellen das zur Verfügung!) und gehen dann in die Wildnis. An heißen Tagen können wir von einer Kanuflottille schwimmen, oder etwas Schatten und einen Snack unter einem alten wachsenden Hemlockbaum fangen. Unser Ziel ist es, Luxus und Komfort mit der unvergesslichen Landschaft Nova Scotias zu verbinden, um ein Abenteuer zu schaffen, das für jeden perfekt ist.

Into the wild … and back
Really great experience with Caroline. It was the perfect mix of sport, adventure, relaxation, great food and fun. Really liked the légère atmosphere and yet how meticulously everything had been planned before. Highly recommend.

Very easy to book and helpful staff
Easy to book with and very helpful. This is my second time booking a canoe for a few nights in the Keji backcountry and I was surprised at how much the rental fees increased since I last booked in 2023. But if you aren’t able to borrow or buy a canoe ahead of time, Whynot definitely makes it an easy and smooth experience.

Big Dam Loop at Keji
Wife and I did a 2 night loop at Big Dam with our dog. Was a great loop and not too demanding. Whynot has all the gear you need, they were super friendly, and were helpful with portage recommendations. They even get us a lift from Jake’s landing to Big Dam to start the loop. Look forward to coming back and booking with them again!

Canoeing at its best
A fantastic tour with a super nice friendly and knowledgeable guide (Dylan) who also proved to be a perfect cook. A great tour through wonderful landscape. Beautiful camping spot, offering plenty of swimming in the lake. My wife and me and our grown up daughters enjoyed ourselves immensely!
