Unser erfahrener Geschichts- und Kulturführer bringt Sie mit einem privaten Transportmittel zum Durbar-Platz von Kathmandu, einem alten königlichen Palast. Es gibt viele Pagodentempel mit gut geschnitzten Fenstern und mehr. Die Tempel sind sehr historisch und heilig, die vom 12. Jahrhundert bis zum 17. Jahrhundert gebaut wurden. Die lebende Göttin (Kumari) ist eine der wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten auf dem Durbar-Platz in Kathmandu.
Swayambhunath Stupa befindet sich auf einer Bergstation, von wo aus die Aussicht auf das Kathmandu-Tal und den weißen Berg sehr gut zu sehen ist. Es ist eine buddhistische Stätte und sehr heilig für den Buddhismus. Swayambhunath ist auch als Affentempel bekannt, weil hier viele Affen leben. Bunte tibetisch-buddhistische Gebetsfahnen, Stupas und viele andere antike Denkmäler sind die Dinge, die es an diesem Ort zu entdecken gilt.
Der Führer führt Sie nach Pashupatinath und zeigt die hinduistische Einäscherung, die an der Seite des Bagmati-Flusses offen ist. Er erzählt Ihnen viele kulturelle Arten von Todesritualen, über diese heilige Stätte, den Pashupatinath-Tempel und mehr über diese Stätte.
Nach dem Pashupatinath bringt Sie der Reiseleiter mit demselben Transportmittel, das Sie für die Tagestour benutzt haben, zum Bouddhanath. Bouddhanath ist auch eine seit dem 3./4. Jahrhundert bestehende buddhistische Stätte. Es ist die höchste Buddha-Stupa in Nepal und die zweitgrößte der Welt. Sie können auch ein paar alte buddhistische Klöster, eine Kunstschule und mehr besuchen und dann zurück zum Hotel fahren.

The day tour included places all around Kathmandu, such as the Monkey temple, the Palace, the Bouddahanath, Durbar Square, the Kumari, Art galleries, and Pashupatinath. Rajesh was very knowledgeable about the history and stories of each place, and allowed time for a bit of wandering, inquiries, and photos. We drove to most sites, but there was a lot of walking from place to place as well, so comfortable shoes are a must! It was overall very fascinating and a wonderful way to spend the day exploring and learning.
