Katherine Outback Experience ist im Besitz von Tom Curtain, dem mehrfachen Gewinner der Goldenen Gitarre und Reiter der Extraklasse. Die Outback-Show bietet einen einzigartigen Einblick in das Land im australischen Outback. Es ist ra und real mit Vorführungen von Pferden und Arbeitshunden, die mit australischer Musik und humorvollen Buschmärchen verbunden sind. Es gibt Staub und Chaos und die Dinge laufen nicht immer nach Plan, aber das ist ein Teil der Schönheit des echten Outbacks. Katherine Outback Experience wurde 2018 und 2019 als beste Touristenattraktion in NT und 2018 als beste Besuchererfahrung in NT bei den National Tourism Awards 2019 in Bronze ausgezeichnet. Im November 2019 veröffentlichte Tom sein viertes Album, das auf Platz 1 der australischen iTunes Country Music Charts debütierte. Er hatte mehrere Top-Hits in den Charts und gewann zwei Golden Guitar Awards für seine Hit-Single Never Never Land sowie 2018 das australische Independent-Country-Album des Jahres, den Künstler, den Sänger und die Single des Jahres.

Das Team gibt eine Einführung in unsere Geschichte, Geschichte und Show. Ein junges Pferd wird in die Arena gebracht und das Team macht sich daran, das Pferd live vor Publikum zu trainieren und dabei die Kunst des Pferdestartens zu demonstrieren. Wir erklären die Psychologie zwischen Mensch und Pferd und zeigen, wie wir Vertrauen aufbauen. Wenn das Pferd bereit ist, Fortschritte zu machen, satteln wir es und versuchen es oft zum ersten Mal zu reiten. Kein Pferd wird mehr als dreimal in der Show eingesetzt. Anschließend wechseln wir zu unseren fortgeschritteneren Pferden und zeigen, was mit kontinuierlichem Training und Geduld erreicht werden kann. Anschließend werden die Gäste in unsere große Arena geleitet, wo wir unser Team aus tollen Arbeitshunden herausbringen. Wir stellen jeden Hund vor und zeigen dann, wie wir ihn trainieren, im Team zu arbeiten. Die Show wäre nie komplett ohne einige von Toms Originalsongs, die er vom Sattel aus mit der Gitarre in der Hand vorträgt.

Interesting to understand about how horse handling is done when a young horse starts out. Watching the dogs train to assist in musters also interesting. Suitable activity for disabled walker. Cool water provided during show with an ice block to follow. I hoped we would have some country music as part of the live entry but this did not occur. Easy parking for larger vehicles. Maybe take a cushion to sit on as seats are a bit hard after a while.
We had a thoroughly lovely morning at the Outback Spectacular- the content was amazing, the interactions and training that Tom and Annabelle and Staff put in is incredible! We absolutely loved it! The iced facecloths,cold water and ice blocks at different intervals was a beautiful personal touch and kept us feeling refreshed and comfortable!

It was very enjoyable to listen to a little of the role of horsemanship and dog training in the outback. The experience was relaxing lighthearted and musical. Tom and his crew gave us all an informative show and were super friendly and accommodating.The providing the crowd with cool towels and ice blocks was a nice touch. It is also pleasure to support a worthy cause like Dolly’s Dream.
