Das Heiligtum von Olympia erstreckt sich über eine bezaubernde Landschaft, die am Fuße des Kronius Hügels liegt. Dies machte es zu einem idealen Ort für die Olympischen Spiele, die alle vier Jahre zu Ehren von Zeus stattfanden. Sobald Sie dort sind, besuchen Sie den Zeustempel, der eines der sieben Weltwunder beherbergte, und den Heratempel, in dem die olympische Fackel leuchtet. Das Archäologische Museum zeigt weltbekannte Werke antiker Kunst und Exponate aus der Klassik, die berühmten Giebel aus dem Tempel des Zeus, Nike von Paionios und Hermes von Praxiteles.
Nur einen Katzensprung vom Museum und den Ruinen in Olympia entfernt, können Sie Klio und ihre Mutter auf ihrer Farm treffen. Klio empfängt Sie mit einem Teller Obst der Saison, frischem Saft und Kaffee in einem Garten mit Obstbäumen und Gemüse. Durch die Präsentation von Imkereiwerkzeugen werden Sie in das Leben der Bienen von der Antike bis heute eingeführt. Vervollständigen Sie Ihren Besuch mit "Diples", einem traditionellen Bonbon mit Honig.
Agriturismo Magna Grecia wurde 2009 von Dimitri Karabelas und Franca Magrini gegründet. Besucher des antiken Olympia haben jetzt die Möglichkeit, die authentischen Aromen des griechischen Landes kennenzulernen und das Olivenöl, die Oliven und die Weine der Familie zu kosten. Ihr Ziel ist es sicherzustellen, dass die Gäste von Magna Grecia einzigartige Momente erleben, während sie ihre Apotheke besuchen.
Der Strand von Saint Andrew liegt sehr nahe am Hafen von Katakolon. Er liegt hinter dem Hügel von Katakolon und ist nur 4 km entfernt. Der Strand mit dickem Sand und Felsen im Sommer ist voller Leben. Es hat einen herrlichen Blick auf das Meer. Es gibt auch ein Café und ein traditionelles Restaurant, wo jemand Kaffee oder Essen genießen kann.

Dora was fantastic to work with as I was planning a large group with 17 people. She was very accommodating when our cruise ship changed the times we were in port. Fantastic experience. Joanna was our tour leader, and she accommodated our every request across all of the different events, even getting us a personal guide at the last moment for Olympia. We had less time than we expected, so we didn't get to do all of the events, but Joanna worked with us to ensure we did all the things we wanted and spent the time we had on what we preferred. This was a fabulous tour....I am so glad that we chose to do this tour as a family. Our fantastic driver was Dora. She was absolutely amazing. I loved her energy, her passion for her job, her knowledge about Olympia, her instructions were precise and she made our entire experience so memorable. I would highly recommend Dora for sure.
