We had an amazing cooking class at the Kandy Villa Living & Homestay. From the beginning on it was thoughtful planned and we were warmly welcomed. From getting to know the plants to cooking a whole Rice & Curry together with the host - the whole experience was more than amazing! One of the best, if not THE best experience we have had in Sri Lanka. We kindly suggest it to everyone!

This was a lot of fun and so tasty!!! We laughed a lot with the chef and the translator! Really worthwhile and inspiring, look no further!

We absolutely recommend this experience, one of the most beautiful evenings of our lives. The passion with which the homeowner described the products of their land to us, then used for our dinner, made us feel the love with which they treat the nature that surrounds them. The owner and her aunt followed us step by step throughout the preparation like a grandmother with her grandchildren. All the dishes were delicious and very generous. The best 20 dollars spent of the trip

What a great cooking class we learned a lot about the the local fruits, vegetables and herbs that grow in the area. We also learned about the spices that are often used. They show you around their garden which provides a variety of things. When it came time to cook everyone helped with different aspects and we got to try several different curries, sambal and more. My favorite was the eggplant curry. Also the coconut pancakes at the very end were so delicious. Mae sure to take this class

I participated in this cooking class in Kandy and it was a truly fantastic experience. The two ladies, the owner and her mother, were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional. They guided us step by step in the preparation of each dish, explaining every detail to us with care, particularly for the curries. All the ingredients used were very fresh and of high quality. The location is wonderful: cooking in their outdoor kitchen, immersed in a stunning garden, makes the atmosphere truly magical. I would like to give a special thanks for their immense kindness: even though I arrived very late, they welcomed me with open arms and let me participate anyway without any problems. At the end of the lesson, we all enjoyed dinner together with the other people in the group. It was a beautiful evening of sharing and, above all... we ate probably the best curry of our entire vacation! Highly recommended to anyone visiting Kandy!

We booked this cooking class for my friend's birthday and it turned out to be the perfect choice! From the very beginning, we felt welcomed and immediately immersed in a beautiful atmosphere. We first visited the garden where all the ingredients are grown: fresh, local, and truly KM zero! The class was fun, well organized, and easy to follow. The best part was definitely the vibe. We laughed, chatted, cooked together, and being a group of girls, it really felt like a sisterhood moment. We made so many memories, I would recommend it to everyone!

Truly amazing experience. I was warmfully welcomed by lovely ladies and shown around the garden where they grow their own fruits, herbs, spices etc. Then Sandy taught me everything about making rice and curry. We made 5 different curry’s, coconut roti, coconut sambal and papadam. It was probably the best meal of my life. Couldn’t recommend this experience more!!
