This was the most amazing day trip , our pilot Mike was full of information , such a great way to see some of the most iconic areas in the NT, Highly recommend
Hi Michelle, Thank you for taking the time to leave a great review. We are glad to hear you had such a great time with our pilot and he provided lots of information. I will pass that on to him and we hope you enjoy the rest of your trip. Jack
Awesome memorable day! Started with a spectacular sunrise above pillows of cloud. Jake our pilot kept the secret of the helicopter ride which was a surprise birthday present for Chad. Exhilarating experience with the doors off a must do !!! Jake was a 10/10 pilot! Professional, amiable and a wealth of knowledge. Felt like he was our mate taking us on an adventure. Yellow tail cruise was even more spectacular with up close contact with crocs and birdlike. Dennis ( two n's) was animated and passionate about describing this beautiful part of our country and its link to the aboriginal people ❤️ Highly recommended for all to explore our own backyard 🤩🤩👏
Hi Cath, Thank you for taking the time to provide such a detailed review. I am glad to here you had such an amazing trip and that Chad enjoyed the suprise. I will pass your kind words onto Jake but we would have to agree he certainly is a talented pilot. Jack - Kookaburra Air
We only had 3 days in Darwin and really wanted to see Kakadu. This seemed like a great option. Jordan was our pilot. He was informative and enjoyable to spend the day with. We had an early start from Darwin, and flew to Katherine with sights pointed out from above. In Katherine we took a taxi to Katherine Helicopters where we got a thrilling helicopter tour of Katherine Gorge. Our pilot was a wealth of information, and seeing the gorge from that perspective was awesome. We then flew to Cooinda, and Jordan was able to point out Twin Falls and Jim Jim Falls. Very little water as it is dry season, but great to see these places. In Cooinda we had a look around before boarding the yellow water cruise. We enjoyed the cruise and saw lots of crocs and wetland birds. After the cruise we had an enjoyable lunch in Cooinda Lodge and then flew back to Darwin feeling like rockstars. We had a great day. The folks at Kookaburra Air have a well organized plan and Jordan was an absolute delight.
Absolutely amazing experience! Recommend for anyone visiting NT, and Jordan from @kookaburra air was such an awesome guide / pilot for the day!
Hi Samantha, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with some feedback for the day, we are very glad to hear you had an awesome experience!! Thanks, Jack - Kookaburra Air
Amazing views from the air across a great expanse of the Northern Territory all seen in a day! Spectacular scenery and great commentary along the way from Austin my very knowledgeable Kookaburra Air pilot. Views of Darwin and surrounds from the moment you take off, fly over the Stuart Highway and see the old telegraph carriage lines alongside, see many avocado and mango plantations as you head south, the abandoned gold mines full of water that surround Pine Creek, the changes in the landscape as you see Nitmiluk National Park prior to descent in to Katherine. A short ride from the airport to the Helicopter and a very memorable flight over Nitmiluk National Park heading to Katherine Gorge. From the air you get a perspective of the size and scale of the area. A view of the Gorge from the water as well would have been perfect but was not part of the tour. Back to the plane for a flight over Nitmiluk National Park and Kakadu National Park en route to Cooinda and the Kakadu Yellow Waters Cruise. Great views of Jim Jim Creek and South Alligator River on the descent in to Cooinda. Being the dry season in July, there were plenty of crocodiles and lots of bird life to see on the cruise. Simply spectacular scenery is all I can say. Following the cruise, I decided to grab a bite to eat at Cooinda Lodge prior to the return flight to Darwin. Austin recommended the Beef Burger and it didn't disappoint. The flight back to Darwin provided vistas over the Mary and Adelaide Rivers and stunning afternoon views of Darwin. Thanks to Austin and Kookaburra Air for a sensational tour! I would do it again in a heartbeat to see the scenery in the wet season. Highly recommend!
G'day Damien, Thank you so much for taking the time to provide us with some truly valuable feedback for the day, we are stoked to hear you had an awesome experience with Austen and we'd all love to see you again when you're next visiting the NT!! Thanks, Jake - Kookaburra Air
I had a fantastic day with this company. I’ve never been in a small plane like that and I was a little nervous and the pilot made me feel very safe and comfortable. I also enjoyed the river cruise more than I thought. Great commentary and lots of wildlife! This trip made me want to return to Darwin.
This was a week’s worth of travel all done in one day. The views were amazing and the schedule was impressive. Matthew was pleasant and informative and extremely safety conscious. We loved the day and highly recommend anyone visiting Darwin should do it.
The trip was awesome and the Pilot Matthew was just the perfect Pilot with his knowledge and experience politeness. Experience of a life time for my husband and myself. Well done Matthew.
Wow, what an experience. In the air over Darwin to see the sun rise. A very knowledgable pilot and guide explaining what we were seeing from on high. Amazing views over this vast landscape. A helicopter ride over Katherine gorges, just incredible, then flown to Kakadu for a beautiful cruise on Yellow Waters, to discover incredible wildlife, with an expert guide. A very unique way to see this beautiful land.
Great pilots/hosts. Well worth the price. A great way to see some great attractions in a short time, but without feeling rushed.
