A very unique half-day experience kayaking the Paraná River Delta, passing wildlife, flora and riverside properties. Just a short train ride outside the capital city.
Amazing experience- absolutely recommend!
Martin gave us a wonderful day and gave us a great insight into the Tigre Delta. He is a great host in a beautiful, natural setting.
We had an excellent experience out on the water with Martin. After meeting us at the Tigre train station right on time and transferring us via boat out to the kayaking starting point, we wandered our way down a few of the delta waterways for a couple of hours. He was extremely knowledgeable (having lived in the area for more than 20 years) and provided some very interesting facts about the history of how the area had developed and changed over the years. We were given a quick snack afterwards - I tried some Mate and quite liked it although the others weren't fans - and he dropped us off at Puerto de Frutos at our request instead of the original starting point. Highly recommended.
Amazing tour!!! Very nice scenes, the guide is very nice, speaks english, and he went out of his way to help us plan our trip! I deffiently reccomend this ! Very good price too ! 5 star !! Thank you nico !!!!
Excellent experience. Martin was a very good host and guide, very informative and had good english. He met us at the station in Tigre and ferried us out to his base about 30 -40 minutes into the delta (so a free motor boat tour of the delta) Then 2 hours kayaking around some of the quieter channels. We were both beginners but had no difficulty with the kayaking - the river did not have a strong current. After the kayaking Martin made us a snack and we tried some Mate (optional). Then he dropped us back at the station but would happily have dropped us elswhere in the delta.
What an amazing experience with Martin. We stayed in Buenos Aires and were looking for a nearby kayaking experience around the islands in the Tigre suburbs. El Dorado cme highly recommend, and Martin met and exceeded all expectations. He was timely in his responses and even a few minutes early to our rendezvous point. The entire experience from pick up to drop off in Tigre was just over 5 hours. This included a 35 minute boat ride each way, 3 hours of kayaking and another hour pre and post kayaking at Martin's home property where the kayaking starts and ends. There is a separate area apart from his home where this is done, and it even had two new and clean bathrooms with running water. We also shared some Mata (traditional Argentine tea) and homemade bread with local honey (or cheese but we chose the amazing honey). At around $60 per person, this was a great value. In addition to a great experience, Martin is both highly professional and very relaxed at the same time. He is very knowledgeable and the area, ecology, and culture. I can see why so many upper middle class and higher choose to have second homes in this area. This is a must for anyone change visiting Buenos Aires.
We had a great time kayaking in the delta with Martin! Easy meet up at the Tigre train station. Very pleasant tandem paddling around the islands, lots of interesting properties & natural beauty. We saw some birds as well. Luckily it was an overcast day as it would have been quite hot if the sun was out. After the trip we enjoyed learning about mate & having a delicious snack. The train from Buenos Aires to Tigre was not operating so we took an Uber, it was about $18 US each way.
Great tour. Martín was a really good and friendly guide. Enjoyed it a lot.
What an amazing day! Pick up was on time, we had the most beautiful day kayaking. We learned tons about the geography and history of the area. Our guide was so helpful and enjoyable to spend the day with. We were treated to snacks and mate after our journey. We got to see detailed maps of where we had been, and we even had a sweet little neighbor dog swimming with us part of the way. Worth the money? Absolutely! Would recommend a hundred times over!
