Great experience and defiantly 100% value for money. Our guide Temur was a great guide. He was very knowledgeable and full of energy
The itinerary and locations are perfect if you want a balanced tour of Kakheti (like us) with Wineries and Historical & Natural attractions, and in a good budget too. If you think that other tours with 4-5-11 wineries listed are not the best use of one whole day of your vacation, THIS is for you!! We booked this day tour for Kakheti for our group of 4 adults and 1 infant. Overall we had a great day and the operator has done a great job developing and managing the tour. Positives: + They have multiple cars and bookings are "fluid" - so if your group is on time, you're clubbed with other folks coming on time and off goes your Minivan! We reached on time at 9 AM and we were allotted vans, boarded, counted, and out of Abano St. by 09:10. + The vans used were in very good condition, had comfortable 2x1 seating and decent AC. The driver (David) was good and informed well in advance if AC needed to be off in some hill climb sections. + The trip guide (Omar) was organized, polite and well-prepared. Aside from giving information and instructions, he took on a lot of additional duties like helping with serving wine at tastings. He was equally good in English and Russian (in which he repeated everything for the 3 Kazakhs in our group). He also tries to build rapport among the group and infuse some fun into the travel. + The wineries selected were good, and generous with the amounts provided for tasting. We tasted a genuinely varied collection of traditional wines and Omar gave detailed information about each of them as they were being served. + All the other attractions are also well-selected and unique. With the above said, there were some minor issues, which is why our review is 4* instead of 5*. Negatives: - They severely delayed the lunch break (if you could call a meal at 5:30 PM lunch) and this had most of us upset with the situation. May be the operator/guide had some "understanding" with the particular restaurant, that would pay them for bringing 15-17 guests daily (and that's OK). But that doesn't mean you keep people hungry till past 5 PM in order to take them only to your guy. - Since there are many different locations, the trip does get a little long, especially at Sighnaghi. This would not have been an issue by itself because it's honestly a good time overall. But, the lunch issue made this a lot worse. We somehow survived on snacks. - The trip description says "Infant seats available" and I did write "infant accompanying the group" while making the booking, but we didn't get one. When we asked, they said we should have called in advance and booked a full ticket for the child (which is nowhere mentioned in the information section of Viator). Again, we were able to adjust because the driving distance is less and the kid was in a cooperative mood - but this could've been bad. As one can see, the Positives far outweigh the Negatives. While we would definitely recommend this trip, the small downsides are something to plan around.
It was an amazing experience. The guide was just homely and gave us an amazing time! Looking forward to more trips with you guys again..!
We took this tour with a primary intention of tasting authentic Georgian wine, and it was the best choice. The entire tour from local bakery visit, Sighnaghi tour, and wine tasting was very well organized, and our guide George was excellent.
Amazing Trip. Visited the winery and tasted many of the best wines of Georgia. Explored Manavi, Badiauri, Sighnaghi and Telavi.
Timure was lovely!! We went to Kakheti and saw a monastery, bread making villages, and cheese making villages. It’s great in the snow.
Took a trip to Kakheti region with Rolly. He was simply amazing. Conversations with him were stimulating and he was extremely open-minded.
Absolutely incredible tour guide Timur born to be a Temada! would go again in a heartbeat. the stories made me a little concerned for the livers but overall wonderful time and good wine and people
Beso was a great guide! We really enjoyed the trip but were disappointed to come back an hour later than were told plus it felt like the tour was in Russian and he translated some things to English..
My wife n I had lots of fun especially wine tasting and trying Mother’s bread, history about Signaghi. Our tour guide Timur was very friendly, energetic and explained things beautifully.
