Beach , food, drinks all outstanding. Only issue we had was locating transportation at port. No signage.
Junkanoo Village Beach is so beautiful. Staff very friendly, laidback vibe. Just a wonderful place and relaxing calm water beach.
Had a great time! DJ plays great music & takes requests for specific songs. The drinks are great & the food is delicious! Lobster Bites is my favorite! CT & staff are the best! Will go back again!
Beautiful beaches with plenty of seating, staff was friendly and tentative. Food tasted good and they had music and games.
Wonderful value and a great beach club to spend a few hours! The food was delicious and the staff were wonderful to deal with for the duration of our visit! Very little to do in the cruise port of Freeport, so this is a wonderful option for cruise passengers traveling to Grand Bahama Island. My only complaint is that the time was cut shorter that advertised. We left right on time for the 12:30 time slot that we selected, but we had to be back to the bus by 3:00 to return to our cruise ship, giving us just over 2 hours to spend at the beach club. Overall a wonderful experience that I would highly recommend for cruise passengers looking for an excursion while in this port.
I want to be as upfront about this as possible... Junkanoo Beach Club itself was great. The staff were super friendly. The beach is nice. There were plenty of loungers and beach games for the family to pass the time with. Our family is vegetarian and there was nothing on the menu for us to eat, but the staff felt sorry that despite our repeated emails back and forth (for weeks leading up to the experience) with H. Forbes Charter Services, they were never notified that we were coming and were vegetarian otherwise they would have "gone to the store and bought stuff for us" (that's how great the staff there is). Still, they managed to put together some salads for my wife and I and a grilled cheese for my daughter. THE ONLY REASON for the low review is 100% a reflection on H. Forbes Charter Service. I have a left seperate, positive review for the club on their Google page, but I just cannot recommend purchasing this tour through H. Forbes. They knew for weeks that we had dietary restrictions and insisted that it would not be a problem if we booked. They were VERY slow to respond to emails after we booked (and they got our money). After the 3rd time time we advised them that we are booked and need to arrange food (per their original request), they waited until the day our cruise left to respond, which was outside their cancellation window, to tell us to "just order salad." This is the quickest way to tick off a vegetarian because, contrary to popular belief, we are not rabbits and don't live off salad nor are we OK with paying over $200 for salads. They said we could also put in an order for something else but left no guidance (again, after three attempts to get some) on what that something else could be. We have no idea what is available at Bahamian supermarkets or what the kitchen is equipped to cook. Could we order veggie burgers? Wraps? Sandwiches/Subs? Soup? Potato Salad? Cole Slaw? Pasta? What???? THEN, there was the whole experience the day of when they were nearly impossible to find because they had no signage. We had to ask multiple OTHER tour companies where H. Forbes was before we could find the lady, who barely said hi to us and told us to sit and wait for our bus in the immediate area. We did. However, after talking for a while we noticed she disappeared so we thought we missed her attempt to lead us to the bus (because 2 of their buses had pulled up) so we walked to the buses to ask the drivers if either was ours. A few minutes later the lady comes over to us yelling because she told us to wait over by her and kept yelling over me as I tried to explain that she disappeared and left us alone. She then tells us everyone else on the tour cancelled so it will be just us, get on the bus and sit where we want. We do. She also tells us that our pick up time is 2:30, so now our 4.5 hour tour is 3 hours, including transportation. Then the driver comes aboard to tell us he has another tour joining and we need to wait for them to board. That turned into a 30 minute delay. So now we have a 2.5 hour tour, including transportation. As the driver drops us off, he proceeds to tell us that our pick up time is now 2:15 and we need to be at the pick up spot by 2:00, so now our 4.5 hour tour is a 2 hour tour. I cannot recommend Junkanoo Beach Club enough but do yourself a favor and take a taxi there. Even if you pay for everything out of pocket once you get there, it will be a far better experience than booking with H. Forbes Charter Services!

From your initial inquiry, we confirmed that vegetarian options could be accommodated based on specific requests provided in advance . We followed up to request details on your preferences so that our team could prepare accordingly. Your dietary requirements, as outlined, were very specific and went beyond standard vegetarian offerings. Even so, our team made a genuine effort to accommodate, including offering the option for you to submit a custom meal request. Unfortunately, we did not receive finalized selections in time to fully execute a customized menu beyond what was provided. That said, we understand how important dietary needs are and take that feedback seriously. Concerning the meal, it was verified internally that more than a salad was served. While I cannot personally confirm every detail, I do want to acknowledge your disappointment and how that impacted your experience. Regarding transportation, while we occasionally combine transportation for efficiency, we do not combine groups traveling to different destinations, and in this instance, that should not have occurred. The delay you experienced was due to incorrect information given at the time, and this has since been addressed with our team. Importantly, once you arrived at Junkanoo Village Beach Club, the timing was corrected and you were accommodated with the full intended duration of your beach experience. In hindsight, we also recognize that we should have been more direct in advising that we may not have been the best fit for your specific dietary requirements. That is something we have already taken steps to improve. As a gesture of goodwill for the transportation inconvenience, we are happy to honor a refund for one adult ticket if you contact the platform through which you booked. While we respectfully disagree with the characterization that we misled you, we do appreciate the opportunity to learn and improve. Great drinks and food (I forgot to take a photo before digging into my food lol)! We had a great time and would go back again. We wanted to stay all day!
Food was good but ran out of some items. I should have picked the earliest time as the number of hours on the beach was limited
the staff kept the please very clean the food was delicious Everyone that work there was very nice and they had fun games
Support for cruise ship port. Very nice place, very clean. The food was excellent: the fish WoW! We were only 5 people on this beach. I recommend this excursion!
