Diese Führung zeigt das Jüdische Erbe in Warschau. Der Stadtführer stellt nicht nur das Grauen aus der Zeit des 2. Weltkrieges dar, sondern erzählt auch über das Leben und Wirken der Warschauer Juden von den Anfängen bis zum 2. Weltkrieg. Woher kamen die Juden, wo lebten sie, womit beschäftigen sie sich und wie war ihre Beziehung zur nicht-jüdischen Bevölkerung? Eine faszinierende Geschichte mit viel Spezialwissen, aber auch zahlreichen Anegdoten. Der Stadtführer ist dabei sehr touristenfreundlich und es ist kein Vorwissen erforderlich, um den Erzählungen folgen zu können.

Am Plac Grzybowski ist unser Treffpunkt. Das jüdische Leben in Warschau hatte hier seinen zentralen Punkt. Erhalten ist nur noch ein Teil der angrenzenden ulica Prozna. Zudem befindet sich um die Ecke die letzte erhaltene Synagoge der Jüdischen Gemeinde in Warschau.
Janusz Korczak ist die bekannteste Persönlichkeit der damaligen Zeit in Warschau.
Der Plac Centralny war die Südgrenze des Jüdischen Ghettos. Es gibt hier kein Gebäude, dass an die Zeit vor 1939 erinnert. Auf dem Grund kann man jedoch weiterhin den Grundriss der Straßen von früher erkennen.
Diese versteckte Ecke gehört zu den letzten stillen Zeugen der Shoah in Warschau.
Mitten im Warschauer Business District steht ein letztes Stück Ghettomauer. Es ist Teil eines Wohnblocks und steht unter Denkmalschutz.
In der Chlodna-Straße gab es einen Fußgängersteg vom großen ins kleine Ghetto. Heute ist dort ein Denkmal mit alten Fotos. Der Stadtführer wird ebenfalls alte Fotos bei sich haben.

I took the Jewish Quarter tour with Robert and the Old Town tour with Antek. Both tours were wonderful - interesting, informative and really told the story behind the places we went through. Robert and Antek were really great guides, each with their own personal touch, very knowledgeable and both kept the groups fascinated through the entire time. It's obvious they love what they do for a living. Thanks Antek and Robert! Hope to meet you next time I'm in the city :)
We booked the Jewish ghetto free tour yesterday morning for the afternoon in English. Nikki g was easy, email confirmation and started on time. Our guide Robert introduced us to the square and was very clear and easily to understand. Very knowledgable and related the info to various people that had an impact - can recommend this tour. Fair bit of walking but was expected. Would consider other tours with this company if in Warsaw again. Thanks Robert!
Robert was a truly amazing guide. He provided very detailed information regarding each site that we visited, and read poignant quotes and poems from important figures from Jewish history in Warsaw. I left the tour with a much greater understanding of the history of the Warsaw Ghetto. Robert happily answered my numerous questions regarding genealogy/Warsaw, so this was a huge added bonus!
