Tour zum Jerusalem Yad Vashem Holocaust History Museum

Visiting Yad Vashem was already high on our list for Jerusalem, but taking a dedicated guided tour of the Holocaust History Museum elevated the experience to a completely different level. It was profoundly moving, educational, and easily one of the most meaningful days of our entire trip to Israel. Our guide was phenomenal—exceptionally knowledgeable, compassionate, and deeply passionate about the history. Instead of just walking us through exhibits, they wove together personal stories, historical artifacts, and architectural details in a way that made the history feel deeply personal and real. The museum itself is designed in a powerful, linear way, bringing you through dark historical chapters before finally opening up to a breathtaking view of modern Jerusalem, which feels incredibly symbolic. Having a guide made a huge difference because the museum is vast and contains an overwhelming amount of information. They kept the pace respectful and balanced, giving us space to process the intense emotions while making sure we understood the full scope of the exhibition. It is a somber and emotionally heavy visit, but an essential one for anyone coming to Jerusalem. We left with a much deeper understanding and immense respect for how history is preserved here.

It's a nice experience that teaches us about tolerance and history. Might be a bit tough for kids, but we went as a family with two young teenagers who understood what the museum is about. It's a heavy atmosphere, but totally worth it. Spent around 3 hours

Tour guide was very knowledgeable and provided a historical perspective over a wide range of topics throughout the tour. I would have given 5 stars were the tour over an extended period of time. Not the fault of the tour guide, rather it was a Friday, and the Museum was closing at 12:30pm and there was zero time to spend in the gift shop.

An impressive experience, moving photos, ye laso my instagram, there are many fabimaranon, the building is spectacular, it smiles, modern and excellent, the audio guides look at my photos

It is a foolproof experience, to learn the story of this horrible stage of humanity that was lived with Nazism, and to say NEVER AGAIN

Well-kept and organized museum, surely the visit is mandatory for those who have a few more days in Jerusalem.

This was apart of our tour would of preferred not to go as we have been to auschwitz Germany. It pretty graphic and you can see clearly how horrible it was - it brought tears to my eyes the whole way through. You will need at least hour just to briefly go through the museum

This museum is excellent. It is an absolute must see. It was so sad and moving. There was so much information. It would take several days to be able to adequately see everything.

My wife and I have been to Yad Vashem twice. Both times were difficult as this might be the most moving experience I have ever had. As a child no one spoke about the Holocaust. It was never taught about it in religious school. I'm guessing the tragedy was something Jews wanted to forget about rather than remember. I never questioned why my grandfather had no relatives in this country not knowing his entire family had been killed in the camps. Today in many large cities we have memorials and museums to remember the victims. Not surprising the one in Israel is the largest as well as the most complete. Every person who visits Israel should go regardless of their religion. In that way by remembering the past hopefully in will never happen again in the future.

I think every person should visit there, hear about history, understand the unperceived reality that was and look at the present in a different way.
