Excellent tour and guide. Informative, great pace, comfortable transportation
Thanks very much for this rave review .It is evident you came away with a memorable tour experience to cherish.
I booked this trip the night before. I wasn't sure it would work out due to the last minute nature, but it was a fantastic experience. They contacted me late at night to confirm the pickup location. Safe, enjoyable, adventurous, and informative. We started at the mount of olives, walked the stations of the cross, and toured the old city of Jerusalem. I wholly recommend. Pickup was only from the hotel Dan, so you need to be within walking distance. Bring cash since many places, including our lunch stop, don't take cards. Be prepared to walk most of the day.
Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re glad the last-minute booking worked smoothly and that you enjoyed the tour through the Mount of Olives, the Stations of the Cross, and Jerusalem’s Old City. Our team always does its best to coordinate late confirmations when needed. We appreciate your helpful tips for future travelers and your kind recommendation.
This tour was operated by Bein Harim Israel Tours. We started from Tel Aviv and they were supposed to pick us up from the hotel. 24 hours before the tour (so you cannot cancel) they sent us an email indicating a different pickup location. So, we had to manage to get to the pickup location. The pickup time was 6:30am on a bus with other 60 people. From there, they take you to another location where you have to hop on another bus. Then you arrive to Jerusalem, and you have to hop on another bus. This means that on logistics you will waste 3 hours to get to Jerusalem and 3 hours to come back because the return is exactly the same nightmare but backwards. So, a total of 6 wasted hours. You end spending in the tour about 3 hours with ZERO time to look on the bazars or local shops. As a Catholic person, this tour meant a lot to me, but it was poorly delivered by our guide. In my opinoin, this tour should be given by a Christian person who can relate the story and the faith. Having a non-Christian person made the whole experience unpleasant.
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced during the tour. When organizing group tours, it is essential to consider the logistics involved in coordinating a large number of participants and ensuring everyone's safety and satisfaction. Please note that due to traffic congestion on urban roads and highways in the morning, the pickup/drop-off service is limited to a few hotels only. Regarding the limited time for exploring bazaars or local shops, we strive to balance the tour itinerary to include essential sites while providing sufficient time for exploration. However, due to the nature of group tours and the need to adhere to schedules and ensure a smooth flow of activities, time constraints may arise.
This was a wonderful tour and our guide, Tomer, brought this rich history to life. He was passionate, knowledgeable and a simply wonderful guide. Having time to absorb the the significance of each site and see Jerusalem through the eyes of a local was amazing. I would highly recommend this tour. It does require a reasonable level of fitness and mobility as there is a fair bit of walking and the ground can be steep and uneven. Thanks for sharing your passion with us Tomer!
Thanks so much for this sincere and detailed review and most of all we appreciate your expression of gratitude for the excellent tour guide Tomer. He sure deserves your praise for his efforts and enlightening commentary.
Our guide Daniel was so knowledgeable, patient and accommodating going above and beyond to provide with a tour well never forget
Great to read you have had a memorable tour experience under Daniel's guidance. He deserves your feedback for his professional effort.
Itamar: When passion meets vocation... I booked a day trip from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and Bethlehem on the occasion of a visit from Israel to BeinHarim. The hotel pickup was exemplary, the bus top equipped and clean. Operationally, everything is fine. Our guide in Jerusalem was Itamar, who does it with extreme passion. He has clearly found his profession and his calling. Always with a smile, with a lot of charm and a lot of knowledge he led through the day. In Bethlehem, Miriam joined us, who guided us through the Church of the Nativity. Lunch was absolutely OK. The tour just fabulous. I can only recommend her and Itamar.
Wow, we are thrilled to hear about your exceptional experience on the day tour to Jerusalem and Bethlehem with our passionate guide Itamar! It's great to know that the pickup at your hotel was smooth and the bus was well-equipped and clean. It's clear that Itamar has a true passion for his job and it shines through in the way he led the tour with a smile, charm, and an abundance of knowledge. And we're glad to hear that Miriam added to the experience with her guidance in Bethlehem. The fact that you found the lunch to be OK is the cherry on top. Thank you for your recommendation and for choosing Bein Harim for your tour. We can't wait for you to come back and join us on another adventure!
We had four excellent tours with Bein Harim. Dan Porges, Lorne, Orian and Ormi were OUTSTANDING tour guides. We will definitely book again with this company and guides!
WOW! Thanks so much, it is not taken for granted when we are praised for all the services provided and our guides receive such favorable feedback. We are most appreciative of you sharing your sentiments of satisfaction and that you have a memorable positive tour experience to cherish.
Dan made sure no one is left behind and always making sure we are taken care off and feel safe. Very good tour guide!
Thanks for sharing that you have had a memorable and enlightening t our experience gided by Dan.He is indeed a highly knowledgable and skilled tour guide.
Our whole experience was wonderful, hearing the stories from the perspectives of the place. Touch the stones, walk the roads. Nazareth, Mount Zion, Jerusalem. Really wonderful. Thank you Saul, a great guide
gracias! for this rave review of your guiude Shaul.Glad it was enlightening tour experience for you. You got to see and learn about spectacular locations in our country.
The content of the tour was great but the circumstances of the tour were less than ideal, which is why this is a 4. As sometimes happens in group tours, 1 member of the group challenged the guide/took things over quite a bit, appearing to throw the guide off his game. Further, the guide was training 2 guides at the same time as giving this tour, so he'd speak to the group, the trainees would ask questions in Hebrew, and the guide would answer those questions in Hebrew, leading to a rather disjointed experience.
Glad tgat it was an overall good experience. An over challenging traveller can set the tour off course however understanding and patient and knowleagable the guide is.Learners need to be present sometimes to learn the ropes!
