Die Tour macht Halt am Mullberry-Hafen in Arromanches, wo britische Pioniere einen Tiefwasserhafen errichteten, um die Nachschubgüter zu entladen, die den Sieg in der Normandie ermöglichten. Die deutsche Batterie von Longues-sur-Mer ist die am besten erhaltene Stätte des Atlantikwalls. Erfahren Sie, wie britische und französische Kriegsschiffe am D-Day die Geschütze zum Schweigen brachten. Schließlich besuche ich den ergreifenden Friedhof in Ryes Bazenville, der zum Nachdenken über das enorme Opfer anregt. Ein Erlebnis, das man sich nicht entgehen lassen sollte!

We took a 2-hour excursion in a Willys jeep on Sunday, June 28, 2026. We are delighted with our stay. Our guides were terrific! Igor told many poignantly stories relating to Gold Beach and the Rhys cemetery. Almandine did a fantastic job explaining the German defenses. Both guides were knowledgeable, personable and patiently answered questions. Riding in the jeeps - and the terrific pictures of the day - will be family memories for years to come.
