Eine tolle Alternative für diejenigen, die nicht gerne mit dem Bus reisen. Eine Reise in den Akamas-Nationalpark beginnt mit einem Besuch der Highlights von Paphos, dem Schiffswrack Edro und den Meereshöhlen. Die Route der Reise führt durch die interessantesten Orte auf der Akamas-Halbinsel und wird Naturliebhaber und Abenteuerlustige begeistern ein Spaziergang in der natürlichen Avakas-Schlucht und ein Besuch des Lara-Strandes, der ein Nistplatz für Meeresschildkröten ist. Fast alle geologischen Formationen Zyperns - Täler, Höhlen, Pfade und Schluchten - sind im Akamas-Reservat vertreten Natürlicher Pool, umgeben von viel Grün – Bäder der Aphrodite (Freizeit zum Mittagessen) Die Tour wird in einem örtlichen Weingut mit einer Weinprobe beendet

Ein felsiger Weg zwischen schroffen Bergblöcken Die Route durch die Schlucht zeichnet sich durch dichte Vegetation und eine besonders attraktive, schattige und feuchte Umgebung aus. Während des Wanderns können Sie die einheimischen Pflanzen studieren: Linsen (Pistacia lentiscus), Phönizischer Wacholder (Juniperus phoenicea), Terebinth (Pistacia terebinthus), Dornbesen (Calycotome villosa), Smilax (Smilax aspera), Oleander (Nerium oleander), Storax Styrax officinalis) und das endemisch gefährdete Akamas centaury (Centaurea akamantis). Die wichtigsten in der Region vorkommenden Tierarten sind: Säugetiere: Fuchs, Hase, Igel. Vögel: Zypern Wheatear (endemisch), Zypern Warbler (endemisch), Scops Owl (endemisch), Rebhuhn, kleine Eule, Turmfalke, wilde Taube. Reptilien: Stellion Eidechse. Amphibien: Sumpffrosch, schillernder Frosch, Laubfrosch.
An einem abgelegenen Strand abseits von Hotels, Geschäften und öffentlichen Einrichtungen hilft die winzige hölzerne Lara Bay Turtle Conservation Station Babyschildkröten beim Schlüpfen und auf dem Weg zum Meer. Manchmal gibt es während der Brutzeit Wassertanks mit winzigen Meeresschildkröten, die gerade an der Station aus ihren Eiern herausgekommen sind. Zu anderen Zeiten begegnen Sie Eisenkäfigen und Schildern am Strand, die vor Schildkrötennestern warnen, die im Sand darunter vergraben sind. Käfige schützen sie vor Raubtieren wie Vögeln und Füchsen.

Our driver was not very happy, didn’t really talk to us and many of the stops felt rushed. Also not all the stops advertised were included. We were combined with another family who were doing a boat trip rather than 4 x 4 beach. I discovered they paid less than we did. The swimming at the blue lagoon was amazing. We were disappointed by the limited lunch options. I am still glad we did it.

We booked this trip for my birthday and it did not disappoint! Mario was amazing, very funny, knowledgable and knew all the secret tips to make the day fantastic. Super friendly driver. He told us a lot, we were on trails that can only be traveled by jeep or quad bike and came to all the highlights.

A great day out - I'd probably dock half a star as the guide didn't really introduce himself, and occasionally wanted to stay back while we adventured. But he also handled a situation with a very difficult (spoilt) passenger who didn't take into account that these tours need to be flexible when the weather gets extreme - just go with the flow, make friends, and have fun. P.S. always, I mean always take a coat and a towel. You can leave things in the jeep but the weather in Cyprus will turn corners quicker. Great tour, would recommend.

Superb experience, despite a not terrible weather. We're taking it easy. The driver was great! Too bad not to lower the price when you can't do everything because of the precipitation of his last days. But really great anyway. A little disappointed for the turtle part we thought we'd see a center, not just an empty beach at this time of year.

Bambos was an excellent driver enabling us to see different areas that we would not have driven ourselves Definitely need comfortable shoes and good idea to take water There were only 8 of us but that was plenty as all adults and would have been a real squash in back of Jeep if there had been 10 of us

To start this review on a positive, some of the sights we saw were pretty. Unfortunately it felt rushed, the guide felt rushed and just felt like they had somewhere better to be. I wish there was more clarification on when we can go down to Laura Bay because of the time (March) we couldn't go and because of the timing we didn't get to fully explore the gorge like the pictures, got to see other people go in further but not us. I think you need to put in your description; the expectation of what to see depending on the months you go for example Jan-March Laura Bay isn't visitable because if I knew this was the case I probably wouldn't have booked it, same with the Gorge. In the description it says you get to study the native flowers and animals but again we didn't do that, it felt like the guide had somewhere better to be. It also says local wine tasting, again didn't do that. Overall I wouldn't recommend this tour because of our experience.

The trip was great, we would never have visited half of the places we got to in the Jeep. Our guide Bamboss was great, he said his english was not very good, but we felt he was excellent and great at giving us the history and background of the places we visited. The Jeep was filled with like minded people all out to enjoy the day and honestly I would have joined the other tour with the same company if I had the time on my trip. Ones for next time when we have more than one day to fit these things in. The price of the tour was more than fair given the amount of driving that we had to do to visit the sites. I would not have dreamt of driving on some of the roads we had to use, but the whole trip was amazing. Communication from the operator was excellent and we were updated leading right up to pick up.
