Dieses Denkmal wird in Form von zwei Personen dargestellt. Es handelt sich um einen jungen Mann und eine junge Frau, die einen Willkommensgruß aussprechen. In den Händen der jungen Frau ist ein Blumenarrangement zu sehen, das als Willkommensgruß gedacht ist. Es befindet sich im Zentrum von Jakarta und ist eines der berühmtesten und bekanntesten Wahrzeichen der Stadt Jakarta.
Der Merdeka-Platz ist ein zentraler Punkt der Stadt Jakarta, die viele Regierungsgebäude wie das Ministeriumsbüro, das Präsidentenamt und sogar das Wahrzeichen von Jakarta (National Monument) in der Mitte des Merdeka-Platzes hat.
Besuchen Sie das Nationaldenkmal in der Mitte des Merdeka-Platzes, ein 132 Meter hohes Denkmal mit einer goldenen Flamme an der Spitze, das die Unabhängigkeit der Nation symbolisiert. Dies ist einer der Höhepunkte von Jakarta City. Im Untergeschoss des Denkmals befindet sich eine Ausstellung mit 48 Dioramen, die die Geschichte Indonesiens von der Vorgeschichte bis zur Gegenwart darstellen. (Jeden Montag ist das Nationaldenkmal geschlossen. Sie können nur den Außenbereich des Denkmals besuchen).
Die im gotischen Stil erbaute Kathedrale in Jalan Lapangan Banteng Utara stammt aus dem Jahr 1891. Sie hat einen hohen Turm mit hohen Fenstern, die mit Glasmalereien verziert sind. Im Inneren der Kirche befinden sich 3 Altäre, die zusammen einen Halbkreis bilden. Es hat auch einen schönen alten Altar, der Schall wie eine Muschelschale reflektiert.
Die Istiqlal-Moschee in Jakarta, Indonesien, ist die größte Moschee in Südostasien und die sechstgrößte Moschee der Welt in Bezug auf die Anzahl der Gläubigen. Istiqlal, was auf Arabisch „Unabhängigkeit“ bedeutet. Die im Stadtzentrum, fast gegenüber der Nationalkathedrale gelegene Moschee soll auch ein Symbol des Friedens und der religiösen Toleranz sein. Hinweis: Die Istiqlal-Moschee ist jeden Freitag geschlossen.

Rizky was very friendly and flexible with what we wanted to do. We learned a lot in the first 15 mins of the tour, in the car going to the first stop!
The guide Fajar was excellent, very knowledgeable on the history of Indonesia, also Indah a new tour guide who provided a lot of good information too. This was a private tour and the driver Bobo was always waiting to pick us up when finished at a site. Each site we stopped at was great and historical, highly recommend this tour.

This half day visit to the highlights in Jakarta was very well organised. The tour agency and the assigned guide were very responsive. The visit started punctually. Catherine is very knowledgeable on the history of Indonesia, and on the specifics related to the sites we visited. We got to see the Istiqal Mosque, the Catholic Cathedral, the National Monument and museum, parta of the old town including a traditional puppet making workshop and the harbor. She is a good communicator and explains things very eloquently. She has a great sense of humour.

My son and I really enjoyed the tour. Pinkan was a great guide, knowledgeable and articulate. She answered all pur questions well and was such a pleasing and patient lady. She wss happily offering to take our pictures as well. We had the car all to ourselves. Our travel also effciently navigated through the streets of Jakarta and we never really to wait long for him.

During business trip from the U.S., first time in Indonesia, I went on a half-day Jakarta tour with the highly knowledgeable guide Thomas. It was a highly enjoyable and informative tour, we covered all major sites including independence square, national museum, main cathedral, world’s 3rd largest mosque, old town and port, even the shadow puppet theater and a historic Batavia Cafe. I learned a tremendous amount from Thomas, the narrative was fun, a new air conditioned car was skillfully driven by driver Andy, and I had time and help buying souvenirs and trying local coffee and amazing pastries (yuzu meringue is my favorite). Thomas took excellent pictures of me that I sent to my kids. This was a memorable experience that made me feel like a local, and got me to appreciate Jakarta and its warm, welcoming people. I highly recommend this tour to travelers interested in experiencing Jakarta’s hidden gems and spending enjoyable four hours without strenuous walking or riding public transport in the heat.

Rizky was extremely knowledgeable in sharing Indonesia history and the highlights in Jakarta. Given the busy traffic and heat, it was delightful to have an air-conditioned vehicle and private driver to go to the various sites. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour!
