Das Erlebnis in Istrien beginnt in Zagreb, wenn Sie unser Reiseführer bei Ihrer Unterkunft abholt. Die Fahrt von Zagreb nach Pula dauert ca. 3 Stunden, daher empfehlen wir immer einen frühen Start für diese Tour. Unsere erste Station ist also die Stadt Pula. PULA - die größte Stadt und das Zentrum der Halbinsel Istrien. Die früheste Erwähnung der Stadt erfolgte im 10. Jahrhundert v. Chr., Als sie von einem alten Stamm gegründet wurde. Die Stadt war den griechischen Reisenden und Seeleuten gut bekannt, so dass sie auch in einigen griechischen Mythen enthalten war. Die Römer haben die Stadt im 1. Jahrhundert stark gemacht und Sie werden mit uns die lebendigen Überreste dieser Ära erkunden. Es ist bekannt für die römische Architektur und das berühmteste von ihnen ist Arena, eines der besterhaltenen Amphitheater der Welt, die verschiedenen Stadttore (Sergierbogen, Herkulestor ...) oder der Augustustempel. Nach einer 45-minütigen Fahrt erreichen Sie ROVINJ. Die Stadt wurde auch von den istrischen Stämmen gegründet. Es wurde auf einer kleinen Insel in der Nähe des Festlandes gebaut und war im 18. Jahrhundert damit verbunden. Es wurde seit 5 Jahrhunderten von Venedig regiert, so dass sowohl die italienische als auch die kroatische Sprache in der Stadt offiziell sind. In dieser Zeit wurden die Mauern um die Stadt gebaut und die Überreste sind noch heute zu sehen. Rovinj ist ein wahres Juwel und wird von Touristen geliebt, weil Sie in Wirklichkeit bei jedem Schritt gezwungen sind, ein weiteres Foto zu machen. Nach einer weiteren 45-minütigen Fahrt sind wir in POREČ - die fast 2000 Jahre alte Stadt ist am bekanntesten für ihre Euphrasius-Basilika, die seit 1997 auf der Liste des UNESCO-Weltkulturerbes steht. Es ist eines der beliebtesten Reiseziele in Istrien. Man kann immer noch den römischen Einfluss und die Architektur in der Stadt bemerken. Sie wandern durch die Hauptstraßen, die noch in ihrer ursprünglichen Form erhalten sind.

Our guide picked us up at 7:30am and we enjoyed a full day in beautiful Istria! Rovinj was absolutely wonderful and we were afforded a good amount of time to tour it alone before proceeding to Pula. Our guide was caring, explained the history of Croatia in detail and ensured our constant wellbeing. 100% recommended!
Tonya picked up our family of 5 from our apartment in Zagreb in a private comfortable van. This is a day trip but ABSOLUTELY worth it! The history in these 3 cities is unbelievable! You feel like you are in Italy! We walked through all the cities, saw a bunch of the main churches, basilica and had lunch at an Italian restaurant right on the water with a beautiful view! Our favorite part was the Colosseum. We have seen so many all over the world, but this was very intact, and they are always so breathtaking in view. We ended the night getting hot coco and letting our children enjoy the Christmas village in the square. Tonya was so wonderful with our children!

Tanija was a most excellent guide. It was quite a drive from Zagreb, but so worth it to see the old Illyria of Rome. The colosseum was incredible...

It was a long trip and truth to tell, there was not much to see. Our guide, Milan, was very nice but he didn't really say much about each destination. He was nice, friendly, funny, accommodating but I didn't learn much about each place because he gave us very little or no info about each place we visited. He drove us to all these places, let us off, told us how many minutes we had in each place and that was it! I could have given this tour a miss!

The thing is that since we know when someone has only one day to get to know a destination we try to show as many spots possible. Sometimes it makes the day longer but we think its worth it. Pick up at your hotel and your convenience time to your request. Totally private and you can re arranged your itinerary & places you like to spend more time. Got to see 3 great places in a day. My driver/guide was so informative with the history and surrounding and I learned a lot in just a day.

Our private tour of Istria was a great experience. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and offered us options of sites to visit based on our interests. Rovinj was the jewel of the trip. A beautiful Venetian seaside town with the feel of Italy. Recommend taking a boat tour to get another perspective of the town and surrounding islands. The medieval town of Hum was very quaint and reminded us of the hillside towns in Tuscany. Would highly recommend this tour.

We went on a day trip to Istria and other wonderful places in the area of west Croatia. Beside having the best time visiting those places, we were lucky to have Tania as our guide. She was very friendly, helpful and also a great companion for our journy. Deeply recommended.
