Pune ist eine Stadt mit einem sehr reichen kulturellen Erbe, das Sie am besten bei einem Rundgang erkunden können. Bei diesem Rundgang besuchen wir Shaniwarwada, die Spukfestung und Machtsitz der Peshwas, das prächtige Lal Mahal, das vom Vater von Shivaji Maharaj erbaut wurde, den Dagdu Sheth-Tempel von Lord Ganesh, der von einem süßen Fleischhersteller, Kasba Ganpati, dessen Idol installiert wurde Shivaji Maharaj und Laxmi vermarkten den beliebten Basar zum Schnäppchen-Shopping.

Wir beginnen die Wanderung in Shaniwar Wada, dem Sitz der Macht der Peshwas oder Premierminister des mächtigen Maratha-Imperiums, das zwischen dem 17. und 19. Jahrhundert eine dominierende Macht in Indien war. Dieser Palast wurde 1730 zu Ehren von Peshwa Bajirao Ballal Balaji Bhat für Dienstleistungen an das Maratha-Imperium errichtet. Shaniwarwada gilt als der am meisten frequentierte Ort in Pune! Mehr dazu während der Tour.
Dagdu Sheth ist ein Tempel, der Lord Ganesh gewidmet ist und der wohl berühmteste in Pune ist. Ein süßer Schöpfer, der seinen Sohn durch die Pest verloren hatte, baute diesen Tempel im Jahr 1892. Der Tempel spielte eine wichtige Rolle bei der Inspiration für Lokmanya Tilaorganizeanise das jährliche Ganesh-Festival, bei dem Indianer zusammenkommen, um für die Freiheit von den Briten zu kämpfen.
Wir spazieren durch den Laxmi-Markt, den Hafen der Einkäufer! Wir besuchen malerische Geschäfte im berühmtesten Basar und Flohmarkt von Pune. Es wurde treffend nach der hinduistischen Göttin des Reichtums benannt. 130PM- Abgabe auf dem Laxmi-Markt.
Geschichte wird in diesem ikonischen Tempel lebendig. Das Idol von Ganesh wurde 1630 von keinem Geringeren als Shivaji Maharaj und seiner Mutter Jija Bai errichtet. Der Tempel ist die präsidierende Gottheit der Stadt Pune und hat das Privileg, während des Ganpati-Festes zum ersten Mal untergetaucht zu werden.
Lal Mahal oder der Rote Palast wurde 1630 von Shahaji Bhosle, dem Vater von Shivaji Maharaj, gegründet. Es ist berühmt für die Begegnung zwischen Shivaji Maharaj und Shaista Khan. Während das ursprüngliche Gebäude verfiel, ist das heutige Gebäude eine Rekonstruktion und hat Ölgemälde, die bedeutende Ereignisse im Leben von Shivaji Maharaj darstellen.

Dhruv was such a great teacher. He tied in the geography of Pune with the history of its people, religion, architecture, food and so much more. He tailored the tour to my interests and was a master of dates and places. I had an amazing day and would 100% recommend this tour.

Ajit was great—he was friendly and knowledgeable. I enjoyed the tour and it was a great introduction to Pune. I didn’t know when I signed up that I would have my own guide (I thought it would be a group tour) so that was a surprise. It was also nice to be picked up at my hotel since I had just arrived and didn’t know my way around yet.

I enjoyed the cultural walking tour with Pankaj. He's very knowledge about the sites and history of the people and places that we are visiting. He introduced me to delicious snacks and drinks, he is communicative and on time. He even stayed behind to ensure that I got into the uber I ordered before we parted way. The forts & temples we visited are great example of the local history.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Ajit. He is a highly knowledgeable guide and we learned a great deal during our visit. Our 'three hour' tour lasted longer than that, because we were extremely interested in what he was telling us and showing us. At the end we asked him to point us in the direction of a nice south Indian restaurant: Wadeshwar was a perfect conclusion to our morning. Highly recommended

The tour was absolutely brilliant. Ajit sir was so passionate about these places in Pune that it rubbed off on us. He knew the history and told us everything from start to beginning while taking us through the tour. A genuine joy to take this tour. Made our pune trip sooo worth it.
