Die Esplanade befindet sich direkt am Wasser im Herzen von George Town, Penang, Malaysia. Es erstreckt sich über das Feld neben dem Fort Cornwallis, das vor Ort als Padang bekannt ist, und die Strandpromenade entlang des Feldrandes.
Umgeben von viel tropischem Grün ist es einer der bekanntesten Sehenswürdigkeiten von Penang und bietet eine große Auswahl an hochwertigen Batiken, von Blockdruck-Batiken bis hin zu handgezeichneten Stücken. In der Batik-Manufaktur von Penang sind im Gegensatz zum üblichen einseitigen Druck auf beiden Seiten des Stoffes Muster und Farben aufgedruckt

Die Batikfabrik von Penang ist einer der Pioniere der Batikherstellung auf der Insel. Es wurde 1973 von Craft Batik Sdn Bhd gegründet und befindet sich in Teluk Bahang, nur einen kurzen Spaziergang vom Botanischen Garten von Penang entfernt. Der Komplex ist in drei Bereiche unterteilt: eine Kunstgalerie, eine Boutique und eine Werkstatt.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Our driver Mr Azmel was so knowledgeable and we learnt so much. Our tour of the Batik Factory and sales outlet was well worth it. Our favourite was the Butterfly Farm - such a beautiful experience.

Driver was on time. Not very talkative, really just a driver. As we had visited both locations and still had time he did suggest another location to visit .

The overall experience was good. The downside was it was difficult walking the trail. Be prepared for high humidity. Has a jungle feel for me. Worth the effort.

Great and personalized experience with our guide, who pick up us at the crusade ship harbour , very fluent in english and a good knowledge about the region and people in the area. She showed us also some extra highlights, we realized, that she is quite proud of her country.

Great exploration of the Island with wide ranging activities and local knowledge. Very flexible on timing so we could explore at our own pace. Everyone enjoyed the Butterfly Garden, Fruit Sampling and the Spice Garden was very interesting to explore. Comfortable tour from knowledgeable local host. Family of 4 Australians w/2 teenage kids.

The guide wasn't a guide, just a driver. Sorry, we have not received any information about the island, city, culture,... The booked program also did not fit with the plan of the "guide". He did not want to approach two points of the program. Value for money does not fit. With this experience, next time we would take a grave and drive to the points described in the program, pay the entrance fee ourselves and then we would have saved a lot of money.

Disappointing visit. If the route is well indicated, the plan is well done, the garden lacks maintenance and information for beginners. Not many haunts in the paths, the vegetation is mixed, it is very difficult to spot the species. The route is short. Little or no spices. Overall disappointing Jean Pierre
