We had a terrible time...

We had a terrible time finding the bus pick up stop! There was no clarity relying the message. We had to talk back and forth between stops, there was no one to give proper location. It was poorly organized. The tour guide was not friendly or had a jovial attitude. She did not do much, just constantly focusing on time to return to the bus! The last stop for sunset was excellent! It was a highlight of the tour!

Wonderful Tour

Amazing toue, collect on time clean cool bus very comfortable with aircon great tour guide Eliise very knowledgeable full of energy kind caring looking out for the whole group clearly loves the island and the stops on the tour. Ending with the most magnificent sunset in Oia can’t wait to return and spend more time in Pyrgos and Akrotiri to see a far more traditional side. Would 100% recommend

Overall good value

Overall we enjoyed the day, but it was a bit of an endurance test. The coach picked us up ahead of time and we drove to Pyrgos where we waited for over 40 minutes to transfer to another coach. No communication other than the word “STAY” from our driver, so no one knew what was going on and then the hassle of getting off and then on to another coach with limited seating. Not a great start. Our guide Elisse (?) was OK but was relatively inexperienced and spoke English like a machine gun at over 200 miles an hour ! English is my first language and I could barely keep up, many of our party zoned out completely and the couple in the seats ahead of me used a translation app. It was also irksome to be continually referred as “my lovely people”. It really is quite a meaningless thing to say and does not endear anybody to the guide. A small gripe, I know ! One positive comment was that our guide was red hot on the timekeeping making it very clear when we needed to be back on the bus and despite that every time we stopped people were late returning. I just do not get that uncourteous behaviour - which in my view should be called out and culprits made to stand between legs of the journey 😁 The Prophet Ilias monastery was impressive with great views but unfortunately on the way down the mountain, we encountered a broken down truck which resulted in another 40 minute delay. Obviously this is not fault of the travel company. Akrotiri, Fira and Oia were well worth the visit and we had enough time to see them properly, have a meal, drinks and purchase souvenirs. I thought that the pricing for food and drink was reasonable and not what we were expecting from the more touristy areas. We were back at our hotel by 10 pm so all in all the trip was around 11 hours long hence my comment about it being a bit of an endurance test. Overall, the trip was good value and worth doing, but you need stamina, a couple of beers or a glass of wine.

Comprehensive tour with interesting and knowledgeable tour guide

This was a full on comprehensive tour of all the spots on Santorini . Taking in Pygros, Fira, Akrotiri, Red beach and Oia for the sunset, and more. Getting a bit of time in each place to have a look about. This is the first tour we have done and found it a great way to see the island. Our guide Elise was lovely, full of information and very friendly. This tour is not for the feint hearted as you will do a lot of walking, however, you can choose not to go on the individual walks. and stay put till the tour comes back. It's very hot, we brought water but most definitely needed more. There are plenty places to buy en route. So remember, water, sunscreen and comfy shoes! We have other tours booked too. We found a wee spot slightly out of the town a d therfore, crowds, to watch the sunset. side note, our bus was more than 30 mins late to collect us, we were just giving up.... remember, its Greece, they are more relaxed about timings lol

Fira also was lovely recommend the Vines for food and views, Oia was ok but very busy had drinks instead at Kookos bar further out but sunset still incredible from there. Good day but not sure Akroti worth entrance fee

OK Tour, if you just want to be shuttled around

My original tour got cancelled and they rebooked me on this one. It was really disappointing. We had too much time at the monastery and not enough time at all in Akrotiri, we were given one hour to do both the evacuations and red beach. Would have also liked more time at Pygros Village. Once we got to Fira, we were given and hour and a half and our guide told us the best place to eat is Mama’s. I looked at the prices and knew I could find better. Plus I was staying near Fira and did not want to go to Oia for the sunset. I told the guide I was leaving the tour at this point. The tour also started at 11:45am and it said it was 9-10 and would finish a half hour after sunset. Well, sunset was at 6:30, so why not start the tour early to give more time at the other sites? I would have rather gone to these places on my own, so I wasn’t rushed everywhere.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. We’re truly sorry to hear that the rebooked tour didn’t meet your expectations and that the timing and pacing left you feeling rushed. We completely understand how disappointing it must have been, especially after your original tour was cancelled. Your feedback about the schedule, timing, and site visits is extremely valuable, and we’ll be taking it into account as we make improvements. We genuinely appreciate your honesty and hope you’ll consider giving us another opportunity to provide the relaxed and fulfilling experience you were hoping for.

Santorini bus tour shows highlights, but long transfers, weak guide, crowded sunset in Oia.

This tour works if you have limited time and just want a quick overview of Santorini’s highlights. We spent over an hour on pick-ups and drop-offs, which cut into sightseeing time. Our guide was friendly but not Greek, and their commentary felt superficial and repetitive. The restaurant stop at Mamas in Fira was disappointing due to unfriendly service. The sunset in Oia was crowded and overrated — we’ve seen far more beautiful sunsets elsewhere in Greece. Good for a quick look, but not for a rich, immersive experience.

Antwort des Anbieters

Thank you for your feedback. We take all comments seriously and want to clarify a few points. Our pick-up and drop-off process is designed to serve all guests efficiently, and while it may extend total time, it ensures a smooth experience for everyone. Our guides, regardless of background, are thoroughly trained and knowledgeable, and we regret if the commentary did not meet your expectations. The restaurant chosen is a popular local spot, and while we’re sorry you found the service disappointing, this is not typical feedback we receive. As for the sunset in Oia, it is widely regarded as one of Greece’s most iconic views, though we understand personal preferences differ. We hope you still enjoyed the highlights of Santorini, and we thank you for helping us improve.

Island Tour

Enjoyable day out on this bus tour. Lots of different stops, got to see the island. If you have mobility issues this tour might not be the best option for you as there is lots of steps and hills involved walking up to the castles and viewpoints. It was nice to experience the sunset at the end of the day at Oia. It is a busy long day and if I was to do it again I would try to arrange a mini bus instead of bigger bus. The guide was new to her role and is finding her feet. A pleasant girl.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us! We're glad to hear you enjoyed the variety of stops and the chance to explore the island — and that you were able to end the day with the beautiful Oia sunset, which is always a highlight. We truly appreciate your feedback regarding mobility and transportation. You're right — some parts of the tour do involve walking on uneven terrain and up hills, especially when visiting castles and viewpoints. We'll continue to do our best to make that clear in our descriptions so guests can plan accordingly. Thank you also for your kind words about our guide. She's new to the team and growing into the role, and we’re confident she’ll continue to improve with more experience. We hope you’ll consider touring with us again in the future — perhaps with one of our smaller group or private options for a more personalized experience.
