We did a cookery course with Manisha and cannot recommend it highly enough. We met at outside the market and she then took us through the market explaining what we needed to buy. We took a tuk tuk back to Manisha's apartment just 10mins away where we prepped and cooked dinner. We then had a lovely meal, chatting with the others in the group. Manisha was great at sharing her knowledge about South Indian food and cooking, very clear on her instructions and made the whole evening fun.
We shopped for lunch at the local market.We could choose what we liked ,meat ,vegetables ,fish -Cook in a group -Taste -Digest Making tuk tuk A perfect day!
We met a very beautiful person who explained to us with precision and patience 4 recipes. Experience the heart! Thank you 🙏

This is a super cookery class, and a great way to learn about traditional Indian cooking. It was friendly, relaxed and fun. Shopping in the market was brilliant and our fish curry was delicious. I’d highly recommend this if you are in Pondicherry.

A really great time and a great host and chef. A great lunch in a great setting. Be brave and book it up. We wrnt as a couple. Gound it tricky to find but well worth it.

We attended an Indian cooking class at the Sita Cultural Centre in Pondicherry, and it was a fantastic experience. Our group of four had a private session where we began by planning the menu: chicken biryani, dal fry, and carrot halwa. Our wonderful guide, Manisha, then took us to the local market, where she introduced us to the vendors, selected the vegetables, and explained the various lentils and spices as we gathered our ingredients. After returning to the cultural centre by auto (tuk tuk), we began preparing the vegetables and cooking. It wasn't a formal training session, but rather an incredible, hands-on introduction to Indian cuisine and flavors. Manisha walked us through the spices and showed us how to recreate the dishes at home. The three hours flew by, and the meal was absolutely delicious. We highly recommend this class for anyone looking for a fun, authentic cooking experience in India!

We have done cooking classes before and they have all been good and the chef at each has been personable and taken time to talk about the dishes we are preparing. Manisha was very easy to talk to and a talented chef and, under her expert tutelage we cooked a very tasty meal. In the past we had always been sent recipes and this time was no exception. What was exceptional was the background information contained and the clear detailed recipes. For anyone interested in cooking Indian dishes this is a must do.

We had a great morning with Manisha on the Indian Cookery course. Trip to the market to start with and then cooking and eating. I recommend doing the fish curry. It was delicious. Interesting, right pace, lovely food and Manisha was a great host.

A lovely way of spending a couple of hours. Great cooking and chat with Manisha, such a lovely lady. Never thought a salad with such basic ingredients could look and taste so good, and as for the prawns in coconut as the main……….
