Unser erfahrener Fortgeschrittener Fortgeschrittener Sie durch das IWM-Hauptgelände, das die britischen Konflikterfahrungen seit 1914 mit besonderem Fokus auf die beiden Weltkriege beschreibt. Von dort fahren Sie zu den alten Cabinet War Rooms.
Die Churchill (oder Cabinet) War Rooms beherbergten zwischen 1940 und 1945 die wichtigsten Werkzeuge und das Personal der britischen Kriegsverwaltung unter der Führung von Premierminister Winston Churchill. Wir werden sein Leben und seine Geschichte betrachten und einige der zusätzlichen Figuren der Regierung erkunden, wie die Stabschefs und Churchills wichtigster militärischer Berater, Hastings Ismay.

We had a couple of guides who were kind enough to admit that this was their first tour as a newly formed partnership - they were excellent. They both have embarrassingly robust credentials, and so there is almost nothing you can ask for which they will not have an answer. However, they both did a wonderful job of "keeping it simple" and understandable - cramming three decades and two world wars of history into a 3 hour tour is no small task. Nicely done.
