Wir beginnen unsere Tour mit einer Fahrt um die Mauern der Altstadt von Rhodos - der größten bewohnten mittelalterlichen Stadt Europas. Es wurde im 13. Jahrhundert von den Rittern des Ordens von St. John erbaut. Die mittelalterliche Stadt Rhodos ist in die Liste der UNESCO-Weltkulturerbestätten aufgenommen. Wenn Sie möchten, können wir die Dauer der Tour um 1 Stunde verlängern und Sie haben auch etwas Zeit, um die Altstadt zu erkunden.
Hafen von Mandraki - Wir halten an der Stelle, an der einst der legendäre Koloss von Rhodos stand. Es war als eines der sieben Weltwunder der Antike bekannt.
Wir betreten auch die Verkündigungskirche, die größte orthodoxe Kirche der Stadt mit sehr schönen handgemachten Gemälden an den Wänden.
Zuerst machen wir eine Pause für einen atemberaubenden Panoramablick auf die Stadt Rhodos und dann machen Sie einen Spaziergang durch den Tempel des Pythian Apollo, das antike Stadion und das Amphitheater
Auf Anfrage können wir in einer Keramikfabrik einen Besuch abstatten, um zu sehen, wie Keramik hergestellt wird - eine Technik, die seit jeher angewendet wird. Wenn Sie daran interessiert sind, Schmuck als Andenken an Ihren Besuch auf Rhodos zu kaufen, können wir auch eine Pause in einer Goldfabrik einlegen, um Ihr Unikat zu finden.
Nach der Ankunft in Lindos werden wir einige Minuten auf dem Gipfel des Hügels verbringen, um die spektakuläre Aussicht zu genießen und unvergessliche Panoramafotos zu machen, bevor wir zum Dorfplatz gehen.
Ihr Fahrer verlässt Sie direkt vor dem Eingang des Dorfes Lindos. Sie haben mindestens 1 Stunde Aufenthalt für einen Spaziergang durch die engen Gassen dieses traditionellen Dorfes. Wenn Sie durch die kleinen, verwinkelten Gassen gehen, erreichen Sie schließlich die Akropolis auf der Spitze. Die Akropolis in Lindos ist nach dem Parthenon in Athen die zweitbeliebteste Akropolis Griechenlands. Ihr Fahrer wartet auf Sie an genau dem Ort, an dem er Sie verlassen hat.

Our half-day tour to Lindos was just what I was looking for. It was great to get out of Rhodes City for awhile and be around the olive trees and forests. Lindos was beautiful as expected, and was extra great because our guide Nicholas made sure we got ahead of a big tour bus we saw heading the same way. We had the acropolis nearly all to ourselves for at least half an hour, which was fantastic. We mixed our tour with what they typically offer and cut a couple things and added another stop we were interested in, and Nicholas knew just the best way to do it. He's very knowledgeable and fun and passionate about Rhodes - just what you want in a guide. We learned a lot and had a great time.

Nikolas showed us all over the island and was the consummate host. He asked about our needs and wants and made sure he met each and every one. It was an incredible day on a lovely island. My niece lost her earring during the day and Nikos incredibly was called a few hours later by someone who knew someone else who knew he had been looking for something that was lost and she got it back! It would not have happened if not for Nikos and his familiarity with so many on the island. It made our day even better, if that was possible. We saw all of the sites, had a fabulous fresh fish lunch, and were able to get some local pottery to take home. The last thing I'll mention is Nikos' attention to detail. The third in our group is handicapped and needs assistance. Nikos made sure she was always cared for and when she chose to stay in the car he took her for a coffee. Now that is a wonderful host. We very much appreciated his time, kindness, and care while visiting Rhodes. We highly recommend Nikolas as a guide.

Our driver, Vasilis, met us at the ship and took us on a 5 hour tour of Rhodes in an S Class Mercedes. His English was excellent as he told us about the history of Rhodes and what life in Rhodes is currently like. We stopped at many beautiful spots for photos. We went to the Acropolis of Lindos. We asked to be dropped off at a local restaurant before returning to the cruise ship.

Our tour guide Nichollas was amazing! Traveling in Rhodes in January is definitely the off-season. We were having a hard time finding a guide to take us to Lindos until we found Nicholas. It was the best thing we could’ve done. He not only took us to Lindos, but also took us to several other historic places and an out-of-the-way shrine that we would’ve never found ourselves. Plus he called a ceramic store to see if we could stop and watch how ceramics were made. He was closed but let us come watch and buy a beautiful plate. Stopped at a fruit stand had a most delicious orange Thanks to Nichollas. He really made our trip.

We stayed in Rhodes in January. So it definitely was the off, off season. We wanted to go to Lindos but did not feel comfortable renting a car. After much searching we found a private tour on Viator. Couldn’t be happier! Nicholas was amazing. He just didn’t take us to Lindos but to several other historic sights including an out of the way shrine we would never have found ourselves. We stopped at a fruit stand had fresh oranges - that were delicious. He gave us his number just in case we needed anything while we were in Rhodes. He made our trip. As a side note January in Rhodes is a ghost town. If you like shopping this is not a good time. However if you want to see all the sights without all the crowds it was Perfect!

Our guide, Christopher, provided an excellent tour of Rhodes. He was very knowledgeable and professional. We particularly appreciated that he was flexible in customizing the tour to our preferences. My husband has mobility issues and Christopher was very accommodating and helpful. We also appreciated the clear communication before the tour so that we knew exactly where and how we would be met.
