Der Hai Van Pass ist eine der malerischsten Hügelstraßen in Vietnam, auf denen Sie im Gegensatz zu den Wellen im blauen Meer grüne Bäume sehen können. Oben auf dem Pass befinden sich die Überreste eines vor langer Zeit befestigten Tors. Die amerikanischen und französischen Bunker im Hai Van Pass bieten einen weiten Blick auf die Stadt, ohne steile Anstiege. Auf dem Gipfel befindet sich eine kleine Raststätte, an der die Tour von Hue nach Hoi An die Besucher mit lokalen und Kaffee-Angeboten begrüßt.
Nur 60 km von Hue entfernt befindet sich die ruhige Fischergemeinde Lang Co. Der unglaubliche Strand von Lang Co wurde 2009 als eine der 30 schönsten Buchten der Welt mit abfallendem Meer, feinem und sauberem Sand und großartigem gemäßigtem Sand ausgezeichnet Welle. Besucher können die lokalen Meeresfrüchte auf dem Wasser im Restaurant am Ende der über dem Wasser schwebenden Gänge probieren. Daher werden einige Wassersportarten angeboten, die Sie genießen können.
Von weitem betrachtet sieht das Dorf aus wie ein Seidenstreifen, der sich zwischen dem Phu Gia Pass im Norden und dem Hai Van Pass im Süden windet. Üppige Bäume, kristallklares Wasser und vor allem das Bild der Wolke, die die Berge bedeckt, machen das Dorf faszinierend und glamourös
Anders als in der traditionellen Architektur wurde das Khai Dinh-Grab unter westlichen Einflüssen aus modernen Materialien wie Stahl und Stahlbeton erbaut. Zum Grab gelangen Sie über 127 Stufen, die von Drachengeländern begrenzt werden. Wenn Sie die Treppe hinaufsteigen, sehen Sie das Epitaph-Haus und viele Statuen von Mandarinen, Pferden, Soldaten… im Hof
Die Zitadelle von Hue ist eines der bekanntesten Reiseziele in Hue und wurde von der UNESCO als Weltkulturerbe anerkannt. Der gesamte Palastkomplex besteht aus drei Teilen: Der erste Teil ist die Zitadelle, die zwischen 1805 und 1832 erbaut wurde. In der Zeit und im Krieg sind fast 140 kleine und große Originalkonstruktionen erhalten geblieben. Die Zitadelle wurde zu Verteidigungszwecken gebaut. Der zweite Teil ist die Kaiserstadt, der wichtigste Teil der Zitadelle, die von 1804 bis 1833 unter der Herrschaft von Minh Mang King erbaut wurde. Die Kaiserstadt umfasst mehr als 100 architektonische Werke für königliche Paläste und Schreine und diente dem Gottesdienst und der Zeremonie. Der letzte Teil ist die Lila Verbotene Stadt, die Anfang 1803 unter der Herrschaft von Gia Long King erbaut wurde. Die lila Verbotene Stadt wurde für den König und die königliche Familie serviert. Die Zitadelle ist eines der Wahrzeichen der Stadt Hue und ein Muss für jeden, der nach Hue kommt.
Einer Legende nach träumte Lord Nguyen Hoang von einer Frau, die sagte, dass der Herr kommen würde, um diese Pagode zu bauen, und an die Worte der Dame glaubte. Lord Nguyen Hoang befahl, diese Pagode zu bauen, und nannte sie Thien Mu Pagode, welche bedeutet "Himmelsdame". Die Thien Mu Pagode befindet sich auf dem Hügel Ha Khe, 5 km von der Stadt entfernt und ist die faszinierendste und älteste Pagode, die als eines der Wahrzeichen der Stadt Hue gilt.

Enjoyed seeing the history of Vietnam’s kings and beautiful palace grounds and tomb. Stopped by incense village and tried my hand at making an incense stick. Visited beautiful pagoda and temple with important historical significance. Enjoyed lovely lunch. Tour guide Ruby did a fantastic job!

It all went very well. Because it was our first time to make a several-hour drive, we were expectant, but the driver drove safely and carefully. The only thing that would improve would be if he could communicate better in English. Our guide in Hué spoke well English, was very active and well disposed, available. We really liked it. ;)

Hue is a lovely town with a lot of history. The monuments and Imperial City were amazing. The driver was polite and safe. The car was clean. The tour guide Ruby was just amazing. She was courteous and knowledgeable. She really wanted me to enjoy the tour. She even brought a raincoat and little rain booties for me. Ruby shared both historical details but also information about the culture. She was an open, sweet, highly intelligent person and it was delightful to spend the day with her in this amazing city. She also took me to a local restaurant to try foods special to Hue. She really wanted me to try the salt coffee and that was super-fun to go to the coffee shop. The only issue is Hue is quite far from Hoi An and I did not realize that. Better from Da Nang.

We were super disappointed in the way BNT tour operator had organised and did not communicate anything until the night before of the tour only until I had reached out. The fact that there was no communication up till the night before the tour was very disappointing. With the trip to Hue being 3 hours one way, it was an awkward ride. BNT stated in their tour itinerary that there will be an English speaking driver howerever this is false advertising. The sight seeing places to stop over could have been better in the sense if there was a coffee shop to stop by or other options of scenery. BNT operator should also advertise the hours travelling by car takes as nowhere did it stipulate 3 hours until I was informed the night before the tour. BNT did not pass on the tour guide contact details to me so I could not plan or ask the guide and inform her in advance of the food requirement for lunch due to medical reasons. As a result we had to remove a few items off the list. We were very grateful that she was able to tweak some of the menu with the restaurant in such short timing. The restaurant we went to was super accomodating and the food was delicious. The highlights of the tour was the Tomb and Imperial city and the tour guide Trinh was absolutely amazing and accommodating. Her knowledge on the history around the Dynasty and Imperial City was absolutely enriching to hear. Heading back to the hotel we were informed that we would take a shorter route which was around the 2.5 hour mark. This ended up being 3 hours and 20 minutes. Overall the actual tour with Trinh in Hue City and the food were fantastic. BNT representatives lack of communication and false advertising resulted this tour down to two stars.

Just having that personalised one on one experience made this very long day trip worth it. Miss Trinh was extremely knowledgeable and had great English. She was SUPBERB! She went out of her way to ensure I had a memorable trip to Hue. Out of all the Viator tours I did this holiday this was by far the best!

The drive from Da Nang through the Hai Van Pass was amazing, Lapan Lagoon was a very picturesque little place we stopped for loads of pictures, met our guide Tom in Hue, very friendly, knowledgeable and personable. On to the citadel, what an amazing place to visit, then on to the Pagoda and Tombs, great day learnt a lot about Vietnam.
